Forever Evil

No kidding? I always thought Thomas Wayne, Jr, was a Snyder/New 52 creation.

Oh well, not knowing that sure made this issue much more enjoyable for me

Apparently the internet is real sore that there was a Plastic Man origin in this issue, but he was mentioned in JLI #1. They're going for blood on BleedingCool.

Comic book nerds are complaining about something?

Tell me more...

oh....that's what they implied with that guy? I thought that was rather drawn out....

Another great issue that had nothing to do with a misleading front cover!

Kinda p!ssed me off that there was no hunting down of Nightwing by the Syndicate. That's what I was buying and that's not what I got.

Nice front cover!

The Owlman story was great! That alone, would have made me buy the book anyway! "The Origin of Owl Man" should have been on the cover.

Yeah, Constantine's cover was more misleading. But it was still good.

I agree to an extent that covers have been very misleading as of late, but some are there to imply things rather than say what's in the book. What I'm curious about is why the cover posted above wasn't the one on the comic.

It is nice to be getting their origins, Owlmans was fun to read. Hope we get Superwomans origin next JL issue. Doubt we will but I hope we do.

They are gonna draaaaaag this story line out til kingdom come! LOL :woot: If we gotta see all of their origins (which I'd like to see). Curious on JQ's origin.......The old JQ appeared to be a doper.....I wonder about this one.

Hi
what are the essential titles and issue numbers that I need to read for the Forever Evil storyline. At first I wasn't interested but I am now so I need to get caught up.

I'd recommend reading Trinity War, as it paved the way to Forever Evil. Those take place in:

Part 1: Justice League #22
Part 2: Justice League of America #6
Part 3: Justice League Dark #22
Tie-in: Phantom Stranger 11
Part 4: Justice League of America #7
Part 5: Justice League Dark #23
Part 6: Justice League #23

That Phantom Stranger issue is kinda important. There are other tie-ins (Pandora and Constantine), but they don't really add anything to Trinity War or Forever Evil.

Now, if you don't really care how Forever Evil came about, you can skip Trinity War. But Forever Evil is sort of the sequel to Trinity War. As for Forever Evil itself I'd recommend this reading order:

Forever Evil 1
Justice League 23.4: Secret Society (not AS essential, but I'd recommend it)
Forever Evil 2
Justice League 24
Forever Evil 3
Justice League 25

And that's up to date.

She probably will. 7 months of Forever Evil, 7 members of the Crime Syndicate, 7 issues of origins.

I like HOW Johns is doing it though. Yeah, he's shown some origins, but he's tieing those origins in with modern stories that are fairly essential to the core plot. So the origin stories aren't just throwaway filler issues.

really? I didn't expect that from you HFMF.

I didn't ask WHICH one was White Rabbit, I asked WHO White Rabbit was, as in origin, as in "where did she come from?" kind of thing. I hear this character is catching a lot of flak and I don't recall ever encountering her before, thus I am curious.

I thought Trinity War was awesome and so far Forever Evil is awesome. The Owlman origin was great. Arkham War is the only side arc off FE I've been reading. But it's been great so far. Bat Bane is alright, but honestly I was more excited to see Professor Pyg back in issue #1 haha.

Yeah, Professor Pyg being in the first issue got me excited as well. I LOVED him in Morrison's Batman & Robin.
