I dedicate this thread to the movies that were forgotten. The good and the bad. The Poughkeepsie tapes to Halloween night or whatever it was called. Or whatever happened to fanboys? anyone else remember movies that just got forgotten and never came out?

It depends on what you're implying. Does movies stuck in Development Hell count (I call them 'Vaporware' movies) like the Evil Dead remake, etc. movies that get announced by the trades (Variety) and nothing happens afterwards.

I don't recall 'Halloween Nights". Are you talking about guillermo Del Toro project where it's Groundhog's Day meets Ghostbusters? (A time machine designed by the govt malfuncations on Halloween, thus repeating Halloween everyday and unleashing evil spirits from the other side.)

They Live, a great movie with the best lines ever
"Im Here to Chew Bubblegum and Kick Ass, and im all out of Gum" *shotgun blast*

Or whatever happened to fanboys?
Fanboys did come out, just in limited release. And is the Halloween Night movie you're talking about "Trick R Treat"? That one's due out on DVD later this year.

Man's best Friend with the killer dog had a good set-up for a sequel . They could of easily did something straight to video but it just never happened.

The Crow part 4 or 5 . I know there has been some news recently but cmon there is always news and nothing ever happens. I refuse to accept Crow: Wicked Prayer exists.

Remember when The Crow 3 was suppose to be a movie by Rob Zombie? A Crow movie set in the future?

Trick r Treat! That was it! Thanks man! What about Poughkeepsie tapes? Anyone know what happened to this?

fan boys comes out on dvd at the end of this month...
i wonder how it was?

I wonder if there friend whos dying dies in the theater in a shock of anger of how HORRIBLE that ****ing movie was.

I've seen it..I have mixed feelings on it. The whole thing is pretty brutal and not that much fun to watch, but some bad acting really stops it from feeling "real". Overall it really isn't anything to sit around waiting for...

Fanboys was pretty good. A nice love-letter to geekdom. There's actually a thread for it on here somewhere.

Trick R Treat needs to come out yesterday.

There was going to be a movie based on Ripley's Believe it Or Not directed by Tim Burton and starring Jim Carey. I have no idea what's happening with that now.

The Superman Reboot?

LOL, I don't think that's ever coming out. Same with Shazam!

and what about Jurassic Park 4?
when is that going to be made

:whatever:

if its done right, it can be a great film

Well, the last two were absolutely horrible, and the first one wasn't really that great when compared to the book.

Usually part 4 is when the series starts to go sour. In this case, it already is, so I'd have very little faith in another film.

It cant be done right. Either its completely different from Jurassic Park that its not Jurrasic Park anymore, or its the same S we have seen already.

There is no more park....so it would have to be drastically different

as for forgotten....small films like Out Cold (which is a favorite of mine) and a good movie

Sinbad seems to have been forgotten

Since Crichton died, the producers decided it was best to leave the JP franchise alone.

There needs to be a SERIOUS dinosaur thriller. Rated R. Focus on the animals themselves - people dont go to see these types of movies for the actors - they want to see extinct animals tearing each other apart, being beautifully graceful, etc. As much as I loved JP1, it barely touched the surface of what a dinosaur movie could be.

Have you seen a film that touches on the "beautiful grace" of dinosaurs or the serious nature of dinosaurs??:hehe:

list of films that have (attempted) it:

JP franchise
King Kong

thats it. and obviously, the dinos take a back seat - they are the force pushing the characters (the focus) to run around and scream. Its such a waste.

Of course, I'm a hot head for paleontology, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Ok...so you're saying that there really hasn't been a "serious" dinosaur movie??
