Another Forza is on the way.

Im a big fan of the series so im interested to see where the game is headed. I hope the Kinect features will be able to be used in addition to the standard racing wheel and not just either or.

Microsoft and developer Turn 10 confirmed Forza Motorsport 4 will ship for the Xbox 360 in Fall 2011.

The fourth installment of the series will support Kinect as well as traditional racing controls. Microsoft first announced the title at this past E3.

"We showcased a Kinect-enabled project from Turn 10 Studios at E3 2010, which let players explore and experience their dream cars like never before," a Microsoft spokesperson told IGN."That tech demo demonstrated some of the experiences possible with Kinect and Forza.

"Forza Motorsport 4 brings together genre-defining, controller-based racing and the power and freedom of Kinect to create an automotive experience unlike anything before it."

I need more time to finish that ridiculous win all races achievement from Forza 3. About halfway through, must take a few hundred hours!

Kinect with F4 could be good though.

Im hoping for a better career mode. Forza's career is really boring. The AI never upgrades their vehicles so you can easily win every race with just a slight upgrade. I also dont like how the majority of races are only a few laps. 3 laps isnt enough to do anything. You should be able to select how many laps you run.

I'm not sure of many racing games where the AI will upgrade along with you. And later on in the career, you start racing 8-12 laps, along with endurance races, which take awhile. Anyways, I see what you're saying, but it's really only 3 laps in the beginning of your career, with slower cars.

But I do hope you can use a wheel and Kintec, so you can look around while driving, kinda like the Eye in GT5. I stopped playing GT5, and went back to Forza3. I really hate the physics in GT5. It feels like an arcade game. I'll stick to the Forza series from now on.:csad::cwink:

Yeah, career mode did become a bit boring & a bit of a grind after a while. Now that I've completed so much of the grid I kind of want to finish it. Then I've only got that drift lap achievement left! I like variety in number of laps although I've never been a huge fan of endurance races. Always worried my xbox is gonna crash! Not sure if I want AI to upgrade as I upgrade. Would rather that these higher level races were harder so you would need a fair number of upgrades to do well unless you were already a master.

Ah, yea i never got very far into the career mode. I guess i wish they had like an actual circuit within the career mode. Something like the Le Mans series or something. Something with X number of races, point standings, championships etc.

If you are a fan, you need to try out F1 2010. Not quite as detailed as Forza, but the actual driving experience is unmatched.

Completed all the achievements a few months back... have to admit, i did use the 'Hire Driver' feature for half of the Enduro races... but i finally managed to get the ****ing Drifting achievment with about 100,009 or something stupid...

Looking forward to F4...

How would the Kinect work with the xbox in a driving game ? Forza is a really good racing game...Plenty of play time in it ^^

I smell spam....

That's up for pre-order NOW?????

If you put those cars on a car site, I would say their real. WOW!

Yea the game looks absolutely stunning. Forza already beats Gran Turismo in everything under the hood, now the game looks better too.

There's a leaked vid out there on YT (supposedly for "internal use only") that shows a few of the new FM4 features....one of the biggest attention-grabbers for me is that we're back to 16 (!!!) cars in a race. And there's ample footage of a road course/highway in either the Alps or the Canadian Rockies (can't tell which). FM3 cars and liveries and setups import --- yay (!!!).

One of the things I'm anticipating at E3 is what was shown in the first FM4 teaser --- (non-gameplay) footage of racing at night and all-terrain rally racing. Also, I hope to god we finally see Formula 1 and Indy cars in the game...

I'd say I'd like to see F1 cars as well but with Codemasters fantastic F1 2010 and soon to be released F1 2011, I wouldnt ever use them. I mean I LOVE forza but the actual racing experience is unmatched in F1 2010

I would say it beats GT on looks on certain tracks and about a good 300+ cars. They really botched GT5, IMO. I was waiting so long for that game to come out, and when it did, I went back to Forza after 2-3 weeks. Biggest gaming disappointment of my life. :(

I'll stick to Forza now. Although, I sold both of my wheels, so now I'll be a controller driver from here on out.

I really dont think there was anything wrong with GT5, its just flat out, not as good of a racing experience as Forza. Forza is FAR more detail heavy. The AI is better, the tuning options are better. The only thing GT5 can say it does better than Forza is its selection of cars, but that really doesnt matter when the actual racing experience just isnt as good.

So, Turn 10 was playing it pretty close to the vest at E3....showed some great graphics, as expected, but not much else. Confirmation of 16-car races (yay), and tons of car porn for Kinect users. They're still not ready to talk meat-n-taters yet, though --- what cars can we expect, what new tracks (the new Alpine fantasy setting looks beautiful, of course, but I'm still kinda attached to FM3's Spanish fantasy tracks), what gameplay tweaks and mods, etc.

Yea im curious to see whats changing 'under the hood'. Altho FM3 was such a good driving experience there isnt much else needed. Id like to hear more varied car engines though. I mean its about time a Ferrari sounds like a Ferrari.

i am looking forward to this i think the kinnect will either make the game or ruin it! fingers crossed on this one

Kinect integration most certainly will not ruin it. Using Kinect for head tracking will only improve what is already the best racing sim on the market. No other racing sim can boast the amount of detail that Forza has.

Forza 2 was great. I spent months playing it, and was eagerly awaiting the 3rd installment, but it was kinda arcadey. The whole rewind thing was tacky.

You didnt have to use it though. It was just as sim as Forza 2, there were just more options for people who didnt want a sim game.
