Said EP Sean Crouch: “Going into this season, the reason we switched it up from an upper-class urban family was to give it a nature look; the blues and greens make it feel more cinematic. It opens the sandbox to play in other types. A lot of Japanese horror is nature-based, and that can influence where we’re going this season.”

Speaking of upper-class families, the EPs revealed that there’s also a possibility that one or two of the Rances will make a cameo down the road in Season 2. “We want to make sure there’s a story reason behind it and not a gratuitous one,” said Slater.

Alfonso Herrera’s Father Tomas and Ben Daniels’ Father Marcus are expected to stay stateside, leaving the Vatican work to Kurt Egyiawan’s Father Bennett. Regarding folding in more Vatican drama in Season 2, Crouch said: “They have an Office of Exorcism which has been around for a thousand years and we’re playing into the reality of that. How does this (the exorcisms) effect the greater Catholic Church?”

‘The Exorcist’ Adds Li Jun Li For Season 2

Li will play Rose, a social worker assigned to the group home run by Andrew Kim (Cho). She is a by-the-books rule follower who arrives to investigate whether Andy is still capable of caring for the children without a maternal figure in the home. Though she’s a strict follower of the rules and boundaries that come with her profession, it becomes clear that she and Andy have a history, and Rose is the first who is able to see through Andy’s brave front. Having grown up in foster care herself, she understands the difficulty of creating a stable home for these children and can relate to them easily.

When this was on I wasn't really interested in it. I saw the Pilot and figured didn't think it was worth the time. Gave it another chance and each episode ust got better and better. Shame that I didn't stick with this show cause it would been fun to discuss each episode. Can't wait to see what Season 2 brings now.

Nice set up episode. Don't know which of the kids is possessed. Though, they may wait to reveal it, as clearly the priests are going to be dealing with the first possession for a bit.

Someone needs to burn that little girl's mask, though.
