Great to see this is getting positive reviews. Can't wait to get my copy in the mail. I've never been a huge fan of any Frank Miller Batman except Year One really (which I love), but I'm willing to have my mind changed.

I too would love to see an animated Court of the Owls. I think that's quite likely to happen in the next few years too.

Year One's my favourite Batman graphic novel for sure but I think the DKR's DTV was better than the Year One DTV (which I also loved).

I definitely think that they will do Court of Owls as the next Batman DTV.

Just saw this one. F***ing great. I have to watch Under the Red Hood again but right now this is my 2nd favorite Batman animated movie ever. The score was great, the fight scenes were awesome, and overall it just felt like a great adaptation of a good story

My blu ray has just arrived and I watched the Sneak peak for Part 2 I don't know who mentioned it before but you do here Mark Valley as Superman and he sounds solid and Michael Emersons sounds off the charts as the Joker. Really excited for this one. Bruce Timm also mentioned that he feels Superman fans pain of his portrayol in this film.

The score now that was brilliant. I want it bad. It was the best part about the movie.

The score was immense, up there with some of the best movie scores I've ever heard.

Loved the score in this. Was a bit surprised by that actually. Especially when Bruce comes to the realization that he has to get back out there as the Batman, and he's having these flashes of his childhood...the music was AWESOME.

Tbh this film is now my favourite Batman anything including comic stories, movies etc it just blew me away.

I never was a fan of the mutant leader or that group of villains and i'm still not a fan after seeing this movie, but it was handled in the best way they could have handled it.

I do wonder if we'll get to see Superman with the yellow S on his cape

I've actually heard this quite a bit. I've never read the story, but I have to see this.

The score had me holding my breath when two mutants tried to attack him in a dark alley. It was fantastic throughout.

This was truly the best DCAU direct to DVD release I've seen. The score, the characters, the atmosphere, everything was beyond incredible. Loved the voicework as well.

I have two questions: 1) is the sneak peak to Part 2 have audio yet, if so where?

2) I heard randomly somewhere that the reason why the narration is nowhere to be found here is because people complained about the narration in YO; is that true? I never heard about that, and in fact liked the narration in YO. In fact, I forgot about rhe DKR narration, so I don't think they needed it, but still...

How was the preview of Emerson's Joker?

Sounded incredible, Mark Valley also sounded good as Supes but I have to say a funny thing is Weller sounded off again in the preview but he sounds amazing in the film so I have no doubt he'll be as good in Part 2.

I actually never was a huge fan of the TDKR book when it came out or when I read it again later. But I really liked that it made Batman a name again, and that a few years later we also got Burton's version of Batman in the theaters. And I've always respected it since it was an interesting take on the character back then.

Now it's many years since I read it the last time, so it's kinda hard to compare directly with this flick, but I must say I enjoyed it very much. I liked the story better than I remember it (now I have to read it again), and they've done a great job with the animation, score etc. The actors were mostly good or better and it was fascinating to hear Weller as Bats, he was awesome IMO.

Like been said here, bring on part 2..

Dude, im wondering the exact same thing. It's all i friggin hear the last few months, Court of goddamn Owls. What's the deal with these owls Changeling? WHAT'S THEIR DEAL!?

Its really overrated IMO, the villains have zero motives and characterization.

managed to watch TDKR and it is awesome! definitely much better than i had anticipated and kept true to the graphic novel. the animation and voice acting was excellent. the score was phenomenal, had a very 80s vibe to it. definitely picking this up next week. looking forward to Part 2.
