Again, faithful to the source material with the nightmare chemical used on Two-Face's henchmen.

Are they using the internal monologue in this? This new clips suggests that they aren't, which is disappointing to me. That is such a vital aspect of the comic that I can't imagine them not incorporating it.

I watched it online, there's virtually no internal monologue in this. The animated year one had much, much more of it then this.

This was awesome!!!! I loved the animation and fighting, especially the end fighting

Wow! Really enjoyed this movie. Peter Weller knocked it out if the park and the animation was pretty fantastic. Solid adaptation, great movie.

why was my comment deleted? but everyone else's comment remains... I just said I loved this film, it was a lot of fun and the ending fight was so well animated...

I'm really loving Peter Wellers voice its similar to how I imagined it when ever I've read this story

I think this might be one of the best animated offerings yet. The only thing I didn't care for was David Selby's Commissioner Gordon. Weller's Batman, on the other hand, was perfect. The animation was clean and absolutely beautiful, and stayed true to the story. I cannot wait for part two, and to hear Michael Emerson's Joker in full swing.

I've never heard Michael Emerson speak so I'm interested to know what he will sound like.

Saw this today, WOW I was blown away.

Sure, I wanted the internal monologue like everyone else but the same time I understand why they did not add it into the film, there would have been a lot of talking and maybe it did not translate well to the movie.

I will open up the rage-flood gates with this; but this is shaping up to be one of my favourite Batman animated movies ever.

I believe Weller did a perfect job and I am not a fan of Brave and Bold at all.

I can't recommend it more, I loved the ending and CANNOT wait for part 2.

This has made the feeling of knowing that there will be no more Nolan Batfilms a little easier on the soul.

5/5.

There isn't any but it really works.

You should seriously consider watching LOST. Or even Jonathan Nolans own Person of Interest, if u want to hear him speak.

He has a very distinctive voice. Sometimes creepy, sometimes whiny, it's a mix..but it's very unique. I think he'll be awesome but i have a feeling he's going to try somethnig different with his voice this time.

Cool, never watched Lost might have to check it out

First seasons of Lost were great. Then it started to get too confusing.

Just check out Emerson's creepy scenes in Saw.

LOST is my fav show of all time, along with Breaking Bad. God it's great having Cranston doing the voice for Gordon and Emerson as the Joker!

Just so you know (if ur gonna check it out) First 2 seasons were great (Emerson first appears in Season 2). Season 3 was fine but took a dip until season 4, which was my favorite personally. Tons of twists. Then 5 & 6 are up to you lol. Some dont like them, i loved them. But it's definately a show worth checking out. And Emerson is fantastic.

Disappointed they completely toned down the, [BLACKOUT]"I believe you" scene. I knew it was coming but that is a controversial part of the book that I feel is very important in showing how this is a Batman dealing with a much different type of crime than what he faced before.[/BLACKOUT]

I don't think you need to put anything in spoilers. The book is over 20 years old.

It's more about not spoiling what was changed from the book to the movie. It's not even out yet and I'm sure some people will want to see what was left in for themselves.

In what way did they tone it down? Did they remove Batman firing the Mutant's gun and shooting the Mutant gang member? I hope they didn't remove that. I hope the makers of this film didn't have their own balls removed.

About the internal monologue narration, circa1981 said "there's virtually no internal monologue in this." Pepsiguy2 said "there isn't any." Virtually none and none at all are two different things. In the First Look Sneak Peak at Batman: The Dark Knight Returns we actually do hear Peter Weller saying some internal monologue narration, "You try to hold me back... but your weak. The time has come." Which is an obvious adaption of the internal monologue narration, "You try to drown me out...but your voice is weak." and "The time has come":

Batman [BLACKOUT]still shoots the mutant using the other mutant's gun, but it's a shot to the hand. He then knocks her out with the butt of the weapon.[/BLACKOUT] Not as powerful as the comic there, where it's implied he went so far as to kill her seeing no other option and believing that she would kill the child.

That's pretty much the only scene that has it. Not really done like Year One.

Yeah there's really only one scene with any internal monologue. But the movie is still very good despite that. I honestly didn't even think about it while watching it until I saw you guys discussing it on here.
