the original idea was

freddy vs jason vs michael myers vs ash

Umm...I thought the idea was Freddy vs. Jason because Friday the 13th IX indirectly set it up.

Original endings included Freddy and Jason going to Hell and seeing Pinhead, (Who knows how that would've worked out, like Pinhead could fight anyway) and Crystal Lake being drained, forming a giant hand and swallowing Freddy and Jason into Hell. Freddy survives and kills Lori's Dad, then, he fights Jason again.
