I didn't know what these were called so I figured I would throw it into the pop up region.

Maybe change it to "Frightening Videos" or "Frightening 'omg I just crapped my pants' videos."

You mean the "screamers". Basically internet eye puzzles that force you to stare at something to find out the difference or solve a puzzle, then some goofy face pops up loud as hell. I know what you mean. My sister was notorious for sending me that **** at work.

Adblock is a godsend.

Before then, every damn horror movie ad would have this loud ass popup whenever you barely touched it with the mouse. Now all that **** is reserved for the poor Explorer suckers. Go to hell, popups.

I get those in Firefox.

When i was younger i went to a family friends house, their kids sat me down at the computer which btw was directly in front of an open door that led to a flight of stairs, but the computer was about 4 ft away from the door.

well them mother ****ers got me good, i jumped back in the chair and guess what, i fell down that flight of stairs, and the chair landed on me.

btw that had to be the freakiest pop up I've ever seen.


it was some website with a whole bunch of them, like i was ****ting bricks for about a week.

The first one that made me jump was the flash video of the supposed "our father" prayer that could be heard if you play a certain Metallica song backwards. It started playing backwards, you listen very closely (because they edited in a very faint chant of the lord's prayer in there), then BAM! It hits ya. It actually made me jump out of my chair and my sister ran out of the room, LOL.

Then there were a few after that, nothing as bad as that until the car commercial one that was already posted. That made me jump too.
