Kilmer did a bang-up job in The Doors.
I also liked him in Real Genius.

Clooney out of everyone from Batman & Robin was the only actor who redeemed himself and still has a friggin' career.
Point taken, however, my point is that for someone who is supposed to be "this all time greatest-MEGA-ACTOR", he was way below Kilmer.I would say that's cuz he's been way more busy. I'll admit he has way more films to his credit than Kilmer does, known films at least. I can only think of three Kilmer films off the top of my head: Forever, The Saint, and Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang. Clooney did that many films in one series. I could also argue that awards are as much a gauge of acting ability as hair color, since most of those awards shows clearly don't know good films from roadkill.
Wait, now I'm confused. Who's below Kilmer, you say? And who are you referring to as the "all time greatest-mega-actor"?Point taken, however, my point is that for someone who is supposed to be "this all time greatest-MEGA-ACTOR", he was way below Kilmer.
Wow I totally forgot about The Doors. I guess it's cuz I never sat down to watch the whole thing. I'll have to read up on Real Genius, never heard of it.
Anyone else feel like this thread took a nose-dive off the topic-cliff?
In playing Batman, Kilmer was like Keaton or even Bale compared to Clooney.Wait, now I'm confused. Who's below Kilmer, you say? And who are you referring to as the "all time greatest-mega-actor"?
Goddamnit!He was in "Heat" too.
But Clooney is teh gr43+3stOh, ok, now i get it. Very true. Although I would scoff at someone calling Clooney an "all time greatest-mega-actor", both for their word usage and the insult to my intelligence.
OMG, TOMBSTONE! Another one I forgot! He absolutely MADE that movie!
Man, I gotta lay off the reefer.
Honestly, some of the greatest dialogue I've ever heard in a film, no doubt about it.I'll second that, I love the Hell out of Tombstone.
My favorite Doc Hollyday is still Kirk Douglas in gun fight at OK Corral. (maybe because I saw it on TV when I was a kid).
Me too, old school, neo, spaghetti, the more allegorical and political ones from the 70's, I love them all. John Wayne, from Rio Bravo to the searchers is the man.Never seen it, but I've developed a huge love affair with westerns lately so I'll try and check it out. Doc was just so eccentric/charismatic in Tombstone, kind of reminds me of Jack Sparrow in some ways (or rather Jack reminds me of Doc). Anywho, back on topic: have we ever gotten an official confirmation for this intro from another source (that didn't just report through the grapevine of course)?

'Real Genius' is such an underrated pic and most likely unknown by the youth of today.
