From Producer James Wan...Annabelle

No doubt WB settles but that author is about to be PAID nonetheless. Like, his grandchildren will be set for life amounts of money.

He'll settle.

If this was really a matter of him feeling robbed he would have immediately filed a lawsuit after he saw Conjuring 1. But he waited until 2 Conjuring films and two spinoffs were released with a third spin-off announced. This guy just wants a paycheck. There is a possibility a judge could stop the release of Annabelle 2 until this is settled so WB will probably want this taken care of quickly. But he still needs to adequately prove that WB did something wrong, and a judge could call his bluff and put a stop this whole thing.

And I seriously doubt that he had exclusive film rights. He is an author who, as far as I know, has no affiliation with a film studio or film production in general. He may have had book rights but these are films. Not books.

"Rated R for Horror Violence and Terror" but no gore? Interesting.

The first one nor The Conjuring movies had any gore either.

I'm interested in this now that I know it's the same director as Lights Out. First one sucked ass though.

6 reviews out, all positive and the movie gets released in August. David Sandberg is going places

Also new trailer

Interesting new trend with horror sequels being better than the first.

This is looking to be like this years Ouija 2, where the first one sucked ass and the prequel being far superior.

Why are full reviews for this film being release 2 months before the film is released? Even if its good that seems way early to start doing screenings and releasing reviews.

The early reviews led me to believe this was opening in the beginning of July until I checked it out.

Hell, i thought it was coming out this week because the reviews were being released. And now I find out I have to wait 2 more months. Ffs. :cmad:

I really liked The Conjuring, but I couldn't even finish Annabelle. If the reviews continue to be good I might give this a chance.

I remember Annabelle was less about the doll and more about a horned demon.

Yeah the first one was awful.

I enjoyed Lights Out so once again I'm going to watch this purley because of the director.

Yet to see Ouija: Origin of Evil too.

Pleasantly surprised by the positive reaction that the sequel has. Been watching the director's youtube channel for a while and he comes off as a genuinely nice and insightful guy.

I'll wait for DVD because I'm way too scared to see this in cinema :funny:
