Frozen 2

Tangled, no. Wreck-It-Ralph, maybe. Tangled's a funnier movie, but that's about it (and I say that as someone who likes Tangled a lot).

They're doing Tangled an an animated series in 2017. Mandy Moore and the guy from Chuck are returning as is Alan Menkin.

Always found Tangled meh, Frozen was much better. Though i did enjoy Wreck-It Ralph more

Chris Buck re-confirmed today that the sequel is currently in pre-production. I personally look forward to it, and I think there's plenty of directions they could take the story in.

As for everyone being cynical about Disney even DOING a sequel to this, I have only this to say: just be glad we're getting one AT ALL. Just because a movie's popular doesn't mean it's bad or that it shouldn't get a sequel.

I want my Wreck It Ralph sequel.

I seem to recall John C. Reilly claiming that they were working on one.

Some of it seems like they've been reading too much fanfic as well.

Olaf as one of the main characters? He was cute but that's not what the audience wants. They want to see Elsa and Anna.

I hope they don't repeat the mistake of Cars 2, which was about Mater and not McQueen.

I can kind of see a focus on Olaf. The Hans as a love interest for Elsa kind of makes me sick, though.

I really can't see Elsa even letting Hans be in the same room with her, let alone be in love with him. He tried to kill her, for God's sake.

They understand the main attraction is the sisters. They sell the merch. They aren't that stupid.

That article screams fake. It says Hans is coming back as a love interest for Elsa. SERIOUSLY? He spent the last act of the first movie TRYING TO KILL HER! Unless he's reformed and I doubt it, that article is full of crap. Also, their sources sound dubious AT BEST.

"I think they’ll definitely try to position one song as a Let It Go-trumping central number,” said film critic Tim Robey.

Wow, groundbreaking idea there. I'm shocked creators would try to top their previous work.

Again, click bait. They just made up that article to get hits. There's no official news other than it's being worked on. Hell, Disney hasn't even given it a release date!

They really shouldn't. They should try to do something different. But I know they will try and capture that lightning in the bottle again. It is a certainty.

My feelings on something possibly conceiving of a Elsa/Hans "romance" are pretty much the same as the idea of a
Rey/Kylo Ren "romance" for SW
that a surprising number of people seem to favor are, EWWW!!!!

Hans manipulated her sister's feelings, tried to steal her kingdom, left her sister to die a horrible agonizing death, and then tried to kill her. He's lucky that she just sent him home to get the crap kicked out of him by his older brothers. She could have done so much worse to him.

Hasn't been confirmed at all that Hans is in the movie. It's all based on wikia fan theories because some fans probably think Hans is hot and want him to come back.

It's disappointing if reporters are turning wikia fan theories into "rumors" or "confirmed" facts for news reports. Seriously.

It all seems to be based on this. This was before the sequel was announced.

Still, the actor saying this and the filmmakers told him this is not the same thing as it being CONFIRMED or official.

Even if Hans was somehow redeemed, I can't see Elsa or Anna ever having anything to do with him. How stupid would they be to say, "Oh, we know you actively tried to kill both of us, but that's OK, ya big lug!"

Also, Kristoff would likely not allow Hans to be anywhere near Anna again no matter how sincere his penance was.

I haven't heard of Hans being confirmed to return. I did hear the actor mention that, IF Hans were to be back, then he'd kind of like to see a redemption arc for Hans. But that's not the same thing as confirming his return, it's simply speaking in hypotheticals.

Exactly. But it's the internet. Fake rumors and casting announcements and confirmations like this spread like wildfire. What can you do?

Hans already returned in the Frozen storyline on ABC's "Once Upon a Time", and he was not in the least repentant. I guess it remains to be seen if they consider what happened on that show to be canon or not.

sueb1863, highly doubt the sequel will acknowledge what took place on Once Upon a Time. Then again, still doubt they would redeem Hans anyway
