haha touche, I knew it was that, couldnt remember. I was happy with the comedy, it wasnt too overboard or not enough but just right. Thats why I liked ironman too because the comedy level, action, seriousness just like thor were all in the right places. Never once did I feel like I did when I watched the first transformers where bay just took the comedy to the tength degree.

That's not so uncommon. In school, people can laugh at some witty South Park episode and appreciate the humour there. Next day some student can put his arm under his armpit and make fart noises and they'll crack up all the same. But one can tell the difference.

I don't know why, but, Darcy calling Mjölnir "meow meow" cracked me up...

I mentioned parts that I did find funny on the last page. But Dennings' character was only bad jokes. Or jokes that she couldn't deliver better.

Have I said anything bad about the action or most of the acting? On the contrary, my friend, I have praised those aspects of the movie. Plus, didn't I mention comedic parts that worked for me and said so in my previous post? Please be accurate when accusing me.

I think the humor worked very well, although I would say some worked better than others. The best ones IMO were getting hit with the car for the second time, getting the buttshot, STEROIDS!, need a horse, and getting tased(this last one I'll admit got kind of deflated since the trailer gave it away). But I think just about all the humor was naturally occuring due to the nature of the characters and the circumstance(which is the best way to do it). When I think of superhero films that it might have initially got a laugh in but ultimately felt like they put the movie on hold for I think of the Fantastic Four films(with a side helping of hipster bull***t), some(most) of the X-Men films(what'd they call you..wheels?Ugh!) most of the original Batman films and the latter Superman films. And the Raimi Spidey films didn't even get to the point of humor that initially worked but we later regretted it(except for JK), they just flat out didn't work.

So I'd say Thor's doing waaaaay above average in this. Is it more adult & sophisticated humor like in the Iron Man films? No. But it still works.

Reminds me of watching the Three Stooges as a kid and loving it, yet Mom was always disgusted with them.
Humor is different with everyone at different ages. I personally can't stand Seinfeld and that bunch of comedians.

Facebook, sarcastic comments, doesn't take anything seriously, thinks she's a badass cause she has a taser....yep sounds like all those Disney, Nickelodeon, and young hollywood girls to me.

Farts are funny when done right. Same as the multiple slapstick gags affecting Thor.

Yeah, Disney, Nickelodeon, MTV, things that I wouldn't like to be in a movie about the God of Thunder. Or that I think a movie od the God of Thunder least needs.

Three Stooges is another humour I don't think suits Thor. I laugh to death when watching 'Jackass' but I doubt I'd love to see humour involving Batman hitting a group of trash bins with his head.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeexactly! He wasn't 'making a joke.' He was just behaving like Thor in a world that's not his. And that's just naturally funny. That's why this and the horse demanding worked so well.

What determines good comedy "The Clown"? Again, that's subjective. Now let's stick to the subject, are we now talking about effective comedy or valuable comedy? Valuable too would be subjective, alas judging by how many moments people have looked back upon in this forum, I'm pretty sure it held it's value ........... not to mention effectiveness after the three screenings I've taken in.

Here you go again .... good comedy? Now I bet you're going to attempt to lecture me that Malbec is a better wine than Petite Syrah. Everyone's got a different palette, particularly in comedy. You just have different grades of it. Some of it is cheeky, some of it is witty, some of it sophomoric, etc. etc.

No matter what, people will complain about humor in these films. It's not about always complaining about it. It comes down to sense of humor. But it goes for every kind of movie of the genre. This is the Hype that is primarily comic book movie based, so when someone criticises the humor here, it wouldn't make any different for another film.

It's not just people want dark and serious and R rated. Humor is fine. it's just how it's done. I loved the humor in this film, but if someone else didn't, that there own sense of humor, not mine. So I'm not going to waste my time trying to convince them that it was good. That's like someone trying to tell me that the scrotum line of ROTF was funny.

I thought the pet shop employee put it over the top. He was just so eccentric looking with that "Uhhhhhhh" smirk on his face. LOL .... I laughed just looking at him.
