As a vegetarian and an animal rights advocate, I can safely say that, while the truth behind the picture isn't funny at all, I can see how someone would find the actual picture, by itself, to be humorous. There's no need for us to get self-righteous about something like that.

I said it was funny because it looked like the symbiont was latching itself on the bird, which it absolutely absurd and more wacky than a Spider-Ham comic. If it was a yellow net it wouldn't be funny whatsoever. I agree that the concept isn't funny at all, but maybe I do have a bit twisted sense of humor and can see humor in the truth.
