Maguire confirms symbiote is from outer space

yeah, that would be a stupid idea, its much better if the symbiote comes from space, it make ALOT more sense.

I would not exactly say that , after all the first two films really have not shown this continuity to be so...science-fiction-y.

You people need to stop being so...sharky. :woot:

Let's see in the first two films you have the following:

1. A teenager who is bite by a genetically altered spider, who becomes a superhero.

2. A scientist who undergoes an experiment which gives him super strength and drives him insane. He in turn becomes a super villan.

3. A scientist who has 4 extra arms fused to his body. He in turn becomes a super villan.

Yeah, the first two films aren't science fictiony at all. :whatever:

Oh no, you're feelings are hurt. Quick everybody gather around and sing the Barney theme song.

What do you think this place is? The Care Bear Happy Ending Boards?

Get off your high horse you jerk. The very least you could do is be respectful. I expect more from a veteran member.

I'm talking about the tone of the science elements. They do not seem so extream as to go with the whole alien liquid-esque substance.

In regards to the films, my point is that they have several elements which are science fiction in nature. Thus making the symbiote an alien life form isn't a stretch imho.

Now in regards to my tone, this is a message board not Kindergarten.

Finally I wasn't going to say it but after you're last post, I've changed my mind. You sir are a complete, total and utter Noob.

Are you officially denying the existence of extraterrestrial life in the endless reaches of the universe? With countless stars, planets and galaxies, that earth, and only earth possess life? Who has been talking to you! What do you know? More importantly, what are you hiding?!

Are you a grey alien?

It's a friggin COMIC BOOK movie. Of course it's going to be 'comic-ish', this series never strayed from that.:o

It's surrealistic.
Exactly. I hate the idiots that only watch the movies and don't get it and don't care that it's a comic book. The comics came first, this is based on a comic book, that is what it is.

Somebody should get the Goo Goo Dolls on the phone and ask them to do a song for the soundtrack.

:D

Goo? Hell, at this rate, he should have called it ****. Then, you know, I probably would have taken him seriously.

Hey, I'm just glad they're not making Venom an attempt to cure cancer, like they did in Ultimate Spider-Man (I series I actually LIKE but don't think would translate well to film).

Now they can have him attacking people with cancer. Nice.

good news..I wonder if their gonna go as far as have the shuttle crash land, like in the animated series??that would be pretty cool.

sorry, but I havent really been keeping up with it much.I prolly know less about the story than anyone else here.I pretty much knew the whole story of S.R. beforehand, and it ruined it for me.I dont want to make that mistake with spidey 3.

It' so obvious that Raimi is being reasonably faithful to the comics:

Symbiote will be extra-terrestial.

MJ will survive.

Gwen will die (sometime).

Harry will die (sometime).

Brock will survive.

That doesn't give you any right to act like an "a-hole" as your sig so eloquently puts it.

If you have a problem with me or any of my posts, talk to a mod. I'm not going to change and don't give a **** what you think.

Of course, you do see the paradox in your post don't you? On the one hand, you chastise me for being an a-hole and on the other you insult my avvy and call me a washed up has been. Pot this is the kettle, you're black.

Oh and for the record, Sebastian and I are both far from washed up.

No paradox bud, I'm simply giving you the same treatment you're giving everyone else.

I called you washed up just to poke at the fire and you took the bait. How would I know if you're washed up? That makes you lose a little credibilty when it comes to being a true wiseass:cwink:
