BvS Future of Superman on film?

Honestly, at this point in time, whatever film superman appears in after jl wouldn't really be a true sequel to mos because we would have already gotten two other films with him in it post mos. I think the issue here is that since some are so used to the way marvel do their films, where most of the popular solo heroes get films when leading to their big team up film...that ppl don't see any any film featuring more than one prominent hero as a real sequel to a previous film where the titular character was the only hero.


Bvs is a sequel to mos guys, it just happens to feature batman and wonder woman.

No. Honest question. What is the cinematic future of Superman? That is posited often re: Batman. Why not ask it about Supes?

Should the focus be team films only? Or solos too and which villains?

Like I said, this is asked about Bats and I am sure others a lot. I saw a Bats related post that postulated like a half-dozen or more villains for his next half dozen or more films.

Bats ain't Supes, or visa versa, but a more short term vision is what I am asking about.

Let's see... Same actor is being brought back to play Superman as was in MOS. CHECK. Snyder brought in to direct BATMAN V SUPERMAN and Goyer wrote the original script and is still involved with BvS in a producer's capacity for the film, a film that will also be the big screen coming out party for WONDER WOMAN and AQUAMAN and possibly some other DC heroes, and is based on the MOS-verse. CHECK. Snyder also being brought back for JUSTICE LEAGUE movie. CHECK. Each new announcement for this film has made a splash on social media and entertainment news outlets of every stripe going back to the reveal that this film would be a first time big scream team up of the two greatest icons of all comic book superheroes. CHECK.

BUT... The OP here WANTS to believe, without a shred of proof, that WB must be thinking of distancing the Superman franchise from Snyder's MOS (which was neither a flop in theaters or on home video) and do a "soft reboot" because... Well there is no because. The OP is just being willfully obtuse. What he's talking about is totally unfounded nonsense. BTW, I too am curious about the BTS statue pics as well as the crowd of extras seeming to lay flowers at the foot of the statue. Maybe we are getting a DEATH OF SUPERMAN gloss in BvS. But we don't know that or the full context and the OP's theories don't hold much water when considering what I pointed out in the first part of my post. So... Yeah.

Clark discovers he's a closet Brony, so he retires from being Superman and locks himself up in his newly furnished FOS to indulge in a MLP binge marathon.

When that's over, he learns that Sailor Moon has returned. So, he gets to work on his Sailor Rao cosplay costume.

nevermind that the whole world is going to hell, Clark's gonna be damned sure he's the prettiest Sailor Guardian around......

Exactly. The Finke rumored MOS 2 would build on JL. Comments like how can they do a sequel so many years after MOS are not getting this. As you say, it won't be a sequel and, if they make it, it probably will be called something totally different.
