While not exactly obsessed with it, I do hit the casino occasionally with the thought process of utilizing my system to break the house bank. Won a few games, but lost a few as well. I'm decent in the areas of blackjack, but still learning the finer points of Texas Hold 'Em. Slightly above average as far as craps however. What games, if any, do you have talent in, if you do play, that is.

I'm too young but my dad knows a guy who scores like, an extra 50 grand a year or something playing Blackjack. Crazyness. Actually maybe not 50 grand a year but yeah, a few thousands at least.

Well I play poker for fun and definitely enjoy it but I am no professional. however, I have no illusions that I could beat the casino as if there was such a method where you could definitely hurt the casinos they would find a solution for no corporation likes to lose big amounts on a regular basis.

Everytime I take a hooker home.

Blackjack is my game of choice, and I usually do reasonably well when I play. I've never learned to play much poker, and I haven't ever learned the finer points enough of craps to feel confident enough to play the game. A buddy of mine was supposed to show me how to play craps the last time we were in Vegas but he was more interested in hanging around with the ugly women he brought with him and getting stone-faced drunk for the whole trip, so my wife and I never really learned a damn thing from him other than he has poor taste in women and is a borderline alcoholic. :o

I started gambling when I was 13 years old with kids from my class... we'd bet on blackjack, craps, uno.... it got out of hand.

I don't gamble anymore.... which is why I don't have any interest in going back to Vegas... especially after seeing that horrible New York New York hotel... what the hell are they thinking?

I play Texas Hold'em on the weekends. I've won half, lost half, probably cuz I usually get the "f* its" after so many hours and I just want to go home to bed. I like the game and the strategy (and the bullshyting and bullying), I just don't have the stamina to stay up all night concentrating on everyone's bets and giveaways. I get sleepy after four straight hours!

I'm really good at blackjack and spades, but I've never gambled on them.

I used to gamble(small stuff - nothing over $20) on a game call Concentration and I'd win most of the time. I played this one a lot growing up.

I suck at Hearts and I'm decent at Poker, but I never play. I know a few people who bet on sporting events a lot, but I'm not much of a gambler myself.

I read this terrific book called "Bringing Down the House" about MIT students who discovered a way to beat blackjack through teamwork and math.
Perfectly legal. They got off with millions.

I don't gamble, so it's highly unlikely I'd be very good at it.

Yeah, I saw a short interview w/ one of the people who was involved in that operation. I think most of the people who were involved are currently 'blacklisted' and banned from every casino in the state of Nevada.

It was pretty funny, but oddly prudent at the same time; the participants would disguise their appearance, bring female friends to pose as escorts, and one of the guys even convinced a casino owner that he was a mid-level Russian weapons manufacturer. The guy was receiving free nightly stays in expensive sweets($10,000 per night to be exact), complimentary 5 star meals, an exhorbitant line of credit, and other amenities of the Las Vegas stay for a wealthy socialite.

That all fell apart when thorough security checks discovered some of their habits, signals, and positioning. They were really brave to try that; Casino security is arguably better at their job than most law enforcement agencies are at their respective assignments. Some of the Owners have their entire staffs trained by Israeli special forces or retired Israeli vets.

if you shave the ends off the dice.. you can basically call the numbers and collect all the money you want.

just don't get caught.

I play Black Jack and Roulette...craps is too hard to understand.

On Discovery channel, they had a show that featured people who often beat the casinoes.

One guy who specialized in dice used muscle memory to achieve his feat. He just practiced and practiced and memorized how he needed to hold the dice and memorized how he had to throw them to get his wanted numbers.

Absolutely no cheating.

hmmm... interesting... but sounds too time consuming.

shaving the ends is probably easier... this only works if you're gonna shoot dice on the street.. of course. :o

If you practice, practice, practice, you could probably shave the dice in front of the dealer.
