Just saw the last ep.
Bean is simply 'the man' in this show. Every time i see him i think "there's 004 from Goldeneye".
I hope this show does well, some award time.
I'm wondering if they'll ever show the White-walkers again, are they'll always just be a thing of myth?

Yes they do show up again, when the story really starts unfolding and more fantastic elements start creeping in.

having Sean Bean in your production raises the quality by a minimum of 50 percent

Yes it does, but everytime I see him on the screen I'm thinking of him as Boromir, not Ned Stark. :woot:

Bronn is pretty much as I pictured him, maybe a little bigger

he's basically the Westeros version of 'white trash'

Anyone noticed that Tywin Lannister was skinning a stag in that scene with his son Jaime? And Stag is the sigil of the House of Baratheon, so the symbolism is clearly there.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. In one of the "Behind the Episode" clips on YouTube, they used an actual dead stag. The actor playing Tywin had to take out the guts and skin it several times for each take.

It's kind of funny that Sean Bean's character is the most loyal / trustworthy guy in the world, given some of the past roles he's played (006, Boromir, the bad guy in the Island, National Treasure, etc), where he always betrayed a main character.

lol, that was a pretty obvious and in your face symbolism, given the conversation. I believe there is a lot of subtle symbolism in this show. I really love it and appreciate the detail they put into the show.

when i see bean i think of him in ronin when robert de niro makes him spill a cup of water. then he walks out in shame.

the scene with the lannister skinning a stag was very cool. kind of makes him seem like a badass. also made it seem like jaimie looks up to his dad. just seemed like a kid watching his dad work on a car or something. i never read the books so i could be way off, that is just the vibe i got. like his dad was a badass. also i was waiting for him to look into camera with an 8-ball for an eye.

You are quite right. Tywin is a badass, just look how powerful and embedded House Lannister is in the seven kingdoms. Also, the Lannisters may be are jerkwads to everybody else, they are loyal to each other to a fault.

I don't remember much of Stannis except that he was a big *****e. I vaguely recall that he stirs things up quite a bit.

I'm very excited for this weeks episode, i'm not certain why but I am.

I thought it was interesting for Tywin to lecture to his son Jaime about the importance of maintaining the reputation of House of Lannister. The actor is so good that he can convey his feelings with just a glance of his eyes imo.

I totally agree Raiden. The actor playing Tywin exudes power with his presence. He spoke softly but his words were like iron. I also loved that a lord of his stature would choose to get his hands dirty and be so adept at skinning an animal. It tells you that he isn't just some uppity highborn noble.

Took me a second to realize Tywin is Charles Dance who is also Clemmens in Alien 3.

I'm excited too, but its of a different flavor because I know what's comming and who is left to be benched out of the game.

i just can't forget him from last action hero and his different eyes he had, like the 8-ball and smiley face. every time i see him that movie comes to mind first.

[BLACKOUT]The "dancing" instructor[/BLACKOUT] :(. At least he had a badass final stand
