The KG's armor is different from what is described from the books but I think it looks good, has a nice vibrant colors to it.
makes 'em look like elder scroll rejects.
So I just got 3 free months of HBO. I've also recently "lost" the only show that was event television for me. I need a new show to tune into every week and I'm thinking this might be the one for me.
I'm a big Fantasy fan and I can't believe I've not read even one of these books. I'm a big fan of series like Dragonlance.
So tell me... is this gonna be my new show? Will not having read the books help or ruin my experience?
Whadda ya think guys?

Looks great, finally got to look propely at some characters, and the show will start airing April.Have you guys seen the HBO feature on the show yet? 10 mins of exposition on the show with great clips and the creators including GRRM talking. I am so freaking out at all the cool stuff from the books.
Watch and prepare to have your minds blown! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJR3eBfcusM&feature=player_embedded
Martin will definitely die before finishing the series. Get used to the idea now. I doubt they will make all the published books into series anyway. From the trailer they are staying pretty close to the book, which is great. But I don't see them changing out the entire cast in 2 or 3 seasons, do you?
The show is expensive and for an audience that may or may not turn out in enough droves to justify it. IF it's a big hit, we can likely look forward to book 2. But I think there's a reason we haven't seen A Song of Ice & Fire on any of the marketing.. not too many people behind the scenes are expecting this to last.
