Whether or not it encourages developers to make party games is irrelevant. The problem is developers are making crap games. Nintendo isn't saying "Make crappy games for Wii".
I know exactly what you're talking about. I don't know if it's the different angle that the notes are at in Guitar Hero or what, but I just can't seem to hit a lot of notes in it, whereas I'm fine in RB.Guitar Hero.
I think Rock Band has a better menu system and is easier to read when the notes go down the screen.
I get this weird feeling, like the screen is still moving when I play Guitar Hero. I don't get that from Rock Band.

That and the notes change color, which messed me up too.When you activate the Star Power in GH, the highway shakes. That always messed me up.
