Gears of War: Help Thread

I'm stuck in this one spot where it's night time. You walk out this door and there's those "pitch black" flying things all over the sky so you have to stay in the light. There's a pushable car in front of me. First I take out this sniper and there's some baddie on a turret dead ahead. I get behind the car and it pushes a little way but not all the way. I try to get my squad man to follow me but he won't and then after awhile he runs out into the dark and gets killed by those bird freaks. How the hell do I get the car to keep moving. It did it for me once and then the guy didn't follow me and he had to run in the dark to catch me he died...and then he went to far before the car the next time. Usually I can't push the car. WTF???

Ok forget it figured it out. My 360 was acting up and wouldn't let me push the car no matter what I did. So I powered it off later in it worked fine. Now on some level driving around in this armored car with a UV canon. Died the first time. I'll try that level tomorrow.

I'm not used to this type of game so I'm just getting into it. It's totally non-stop. After an hour my jaw starts popping from clenching my teeth so much. That UV cannon ran out of juice before I got to the end of the level. I got on the freeway...off the freeway, then back on then I died. That idiot guide doens't seem to give good directions. LOL

I'm not on *live* but it's blades shades or blades_shades. I have live kit but never hooked it up. I really enjoy solo campaigns and play usually late whenever I have 30 minutes to an hour. That's about it. Maybe down the road later I'll hook it up. I need a plasma and another 360 in my room so I can connect to the one in my family room. You can connect them together for co-op right without live???

Are you playing on casual? If so, then you'll probably won't have any problem on just driving through. When I played on casual, I didn't stop to use the uv torrent, I just keep going and made it through.

Yeah I am only cause I never play 3rd person frantic shooters like this one. I'm way past that now I'm in below the mines trying to plant the resonator. Me and my squd bud are on separate paths with like lava in between and ceiling crawling freaks and ogre's everywhere. Quite fun.

It takes some getting used to if you're used to FPS games. Eventually you'll be targeting them quite easily.

Shoot him with the Torque Bow to make the Kryll flee (grenades also work). Then go trigger happy with the machine gun (sniper rifle takes too long).

I'm right now on the Raam level at the end of the train. DId this game steal from every film or what? Matrix, Pitch Black, Predator, Aliens, Predator, Haol (game), and even Jurassic Park when that huge robot-dino is running behind you and then you get through that tunnel. There's are nods to almost every great franchise in here.

Can't get Ramm. Hell once I got up on the turret and was blowing him away but the krill then came in and got me. Tried staying in the back and even w/ the bow and machine gun he made it up to me. Gotta keep trying. LOL

I'm in Chapter III in the part that called "From Bad To Worse", and I can't figure out how to sneak around the Berserker. Any tips?

You have to trick him into running into the beams so they fall...eventually he goes outside and you use the hammer of dawn on him.

Instead of trying to sneak around him, should I just run away as fast as I can until I get outside?
