Hope the trailer is worth it, I didn't like the rumor of it being only 90 seconds. I'd rather it be a longer story driven trailer. But we will see if it is 90 seconds what they do with it.

If it's 90 seconds, the it's most probably the Celebration trailer...

Disney premiered the final 2 minute trailer for Force Awakens during Monday Night Football last year. There is no set time limit. If the ad space is available anyone can buy it in 30 second blocks. Demand for ad space is high tho so its possible that Disney could only secure 90 seconds of ad space because demand was so high. But my guess is they created the trailer they wanted at the length they wanted and got the ad space they needed. I doubt they set the length of the trailer based on available ad space.

Honestly the celebration teaser wasn't much. A lot of old shots, some new shots. It was short and the end had the quick Vader reflection in the floor and him breathing.

Forest Whitaker On The Similarities Between Saw Gerrera and Darth Dader, Saw's Relationship with Jyn, and His Character's Progression

Entertainment Weekly continues its rogue one: A star wars story week, today featuring saw gerrera. I’m very intrigued with all the new information that we learn about gerrera’s state of health here. Forest whitaker talks the similarities between gerrera and his old pal darth vader. We also finally have an answer as to why we see gerrera with both a bald head, and a full head of hair.

“There are some similarities (with vader),” whitaker says in an interview with ew. “I don’t know if I should tell you that.”

“This is his armored suit for flight, but also for maintenance,” whitaker says of gerrera’s bulbous chest plate. “he’s been through many conflicts and many wars, so it’s also about [repairing] some of the many injuries he’s had. He wears it all the time.”

Whitaker goes on to talk about if gerrera is regretful of his decisions or not:

“I don’t think he’s regretful. I think he really believes that what he has done is right,” whitaker says. “he understands that the universe could be destroyed and worlds could be destroyed if he doesn’t succeed. And he’s one of the only people who will do everything to make sure the imperial forces don’t.”

EW and Whitaker talk about gerrera’s relationship with Jyn Erso:

“He sees Erso as someone who could follow in his path. “he’s really close to her, and they have a very powerful relationship,” whitaker says. “he’s talking about how you maybe make compromises that may harm people, or may harm the situation, or people may question it, but if you’re doing it for the good, there’s a positive thing about that. But what does it make you become? And how do you change as a person.”

So, this next tid bit is very important. It appears that gerrera will both have hair and a bald head in the film. I’m assuming this is one of those things where jyn and the team find him in a dark place and convince him to fight more. Then he would shave all his hair as a sign that he’s back at it.

“We made some decisions about how the character was progressing. They had a lot of opportunity to make tweaks and different things,” he says. “you’ll see both.”
