That is some BS. My theater did that couple of times, and they got hell for it. So that never happened again.

I happen to have a film projecting IMAX in my town (saw Interstellar there) but it's only showing the 3D version. Kind of a shame, but expected. And if I'm gonna see something in 3D I might as well see it in IMAX. It's the best way to see a film in 3D.
