Looks pretty neat- I enjoyed land of the dead despite being pretty flawed, and I'm looking forward to this, as well as the day of the dead remake.

But then I'm a zombie junkie.

I'm not sure if this is an official part of Romero's zombie movie continuity though or just a side project- but nontheless it's looking pretty neat so far.

if it's by Romero and has Of The Dead in the title, then it's in continuity...also, the Day remake sounds even worse than the Dawn remake at this point.

Wait is it ment to be a comedy or what "Wow look zombies.... here take my picture with it" doesn`t seem much suspense

also any remake of a dead film is a bad remake, even Tom salvins remake was just ok

Considering the Dawn remake got overwhelmingly positive reviews, I'm going to take that as still a very good thing :)

It does sound like it could be a funny concept, but I dunno.

From what I heard, Diary of the Dead is set before Night of the Living Dead

Given the quality films Romero has put together in the past, I think it's fair we give him a little more credit than that. He knows what he's doing.

I actually think this is a cool premise especially if it is indeed true this is supposed to be taking place before NOTD. It makes most sense anyway. I like the idea of the movie centered on a just a few people having a go with the zombies in a secluded area, it's more creepy. Much like NOTD, and DOTD was. Kind of like going back to the roots.

I guess we can all expect the classic romero zombies trademark. The ability to make people fall into your arms, blue faces, and my personal favorite a rotten corpse with rotten teeth that can tear through skin like a chainsaw.:whatever:

The Dawn remake was quite simply amazing... one of the better remakes of recent years, I honestly don't know how you could say that.

Dude, they had blue faces in one movie. Besides, what kind of lame movie would it be if the zombies couldn't puncture flesh, and what's wrong with a little drama?

I'll be waiting for this one.

It's easy to say. I loathe the Dawn remake. It makes me want to injure those around me.

Seriously, I reeeeeally hate it.

Well... you should die then! :o

i cant believe this, i made a zombie movie this year and i'm putting a different spin on this. now i hadnt heard about this movie until like 2 weeks ago.

my different spin is that it's called "The Cheapest Zombie Documentary Ever Made" (...for sentimental reasons; the original was The Cheapest Zombie Movie Ever Made) and it revolves around a college filmmaker doing his senior project on teen drinking and while at the party, most of the people turn into zombies. Then it's about the survivors trying to get out of the house.

Diary makes me so mad because I've been developing this movie since July with no knowledge of Diary's existence.

That actually sounds like a pretty damn good movie idea... I like it.

What were the flaws. I didn't discern any flaws.

Some of the political metaphores were just silly...rich = evil? Give me a break....Hopper was like a cartoon villain than a fully realised character.
There was no effort made to make him a realistic and relatable character.

And Riley, at the end of the movie, talking like the zombies are just poor misunderstood miscreants and not man eating monsters?

And taking Dead Rising away from the city was INCREDIBLY selfish, seeing as thats what lead to the zombies killing all those people anyway.

yea, and so do a lot of other people who i've talked to about it. my "zombie crew" said they would love to do it one day.

that's why i have the "**** it, i'm making it" attitude.

I'm a Romero junkie so I'm sure I'll love this. Anything but the powder puff remakes.

This movie doesn't take place before NOTLD. It takes place at the same time. While the events of Night of the Living Dead are taking place, this is happening else where.

Soo....does Romero just do zombie movies?

He's done other things.

The Crazies, Creepshow... that's about it, I think.

There's also "The Dark Half", one of the best Stephen King adaptations of all time.
