Nah, he wasn't drunk. Stone cold sober. It went like this:

I'd gotten thrown out of C103 for pushing that guy over, even though he started it, so we went down onto Marina street to find a bar to sit in. Union street is all students, tourists and hammered locals. Marina street is where all the squaddies, bikers and criminals drink. Guess which box I fall into? Student. Yeah.

So, this bloody great marine is there oggling my woman. I put my drink down, turn to him and say "Back off."

He's all like, 'yeah, whatever' and keeps looking. Tries to cop a sneaky feel. So, me being totally immortal when I'm drunk, I put my drink down, stand up, get right in his face [he was still sat down] and say "Back the **** off!"

He stands up and says "Lets take this outside, huh?"

At which point I yell "Oh yeah, YOU WANT SOME DO YA!?" and attepmted to shove him.

I got dragged outside and thrown straight into the water. If you were wondering what my Stef was doing, I think she was halfway between pissing herself laughing and trying [uselessly] to placate me the whole time.

Its one of the reasons that I never have more than one drink. Sure, he got in to help me out, but if he hadn't? I dread to think.
