That's nothing to do with the new video game, as the link says. That was footage made from the game engine of Gears of War.

As for the real game, I hope it takes place in the 80s, with the ecto1 caddie and all. We don't need modern 'updates' like having them drive a Chrysler and making the proton pack more spiffy.

I hope they keep all of the classic movie elements but have it set in an undisclosed time.

I'm kinda bummed they're making a PS2 version. Hopefully the next gen (Wii, PS3 and XB360) version of the game will be much better graphically.

In the Variety article it said it would take place in the early 1990s. GBII took place in 1989. The actor who played William Peck, the *****e from the first GB movie is signed to appear in the game.

Wasn't there an old plot about hell filling up to the point of bursting. I read that the GB met God, who would help them seal Satan back in hell. Satan's human form was a guy nammed Siffler.

Considering the entire cast is returning and Ackroyd and Ramis are writing it, I think the game will end up being the closet to a new movie you could ask for.

The one thing I'm scared of is if Ackroyd returns to the original premise of Ghostbusters. It was to take place in the future where Ghostbusters weren't like Pest control guys, they were civil servants and it took place in the future.

I'm not happy about this as I don't play video games other then systems original nintend/atari/seg to N64. Thats where I draw the line.
I just want a movie I don't want to have to play a frigging game.

As awesome as the picture looks, I find it incredibly wrong that they are recycling Stay Puft...

Ramis and Ackroyd must be really out of the loop. The story will probably be about Gozer and Viggo teaming up.

Its not that easy to just up and make a movie especially with the writers strike goin on right now. Studios are so picky and they dont have their script doctors. Also the guys dont even trust the studios since they blame the studios for Ghostbusters 2.

Im sure there is something else goin on that we dont know about
