Ghostbusters 3

I just feel like the song's beat would work better with rap. That, and IMO rappers are much better with remixes/new takes than rockers or pop stars by a long shot.
With the rappers out today, I don't want any of them near the Ghostbusters theme.

the score in the first one is better than the second.

fixed. :cwink:

and bernstien didnt do GBII, that would be Edelman (i mainly listen to scores, and GB is my favorite bernstein score, along with "the good son") I LOVE the 1st one, for GBII edelman did an ok job (i have the DVDRIP score from him). I like edelman, but only a few of his scores really standout to me (the mask, dragonheart, daylight & balls of fury)

well with murray he was always the one big factor in never being a 3rd film in the 90s. From what i recall he is very hesitant doing sequels to films, and for a time he was sick of ghostbusters due to not overall liking the second film. But times have changed a bit now. Since it was reported he really enjoyed coming back for the video game, and with that he became a bit more open to the ideal.

Yo Ray Parker Jr., I'm really happy for you and imma let you finish but Bobby Brown had the greatest GB song of all time!

More from Bill Murray:

We finish on the future and Ghostbusters III. The news that there is third movie on the way has been chewing up the internet for months. Typically, Murray, who is next up in Jim Jarmusch’s fantastically droll assassin’s tale The Limits of Control, is not entirely enthusiastic about the idea. “What they really want from us is just to open the movie and then get lost after introducing a new generation of ghostbusters, who can start the franchise all over again,” he says with a shrug. “I’ve heard the script idea, and part of it is good but, ye know, it’s going to be tough to start again.”

That would suck. I wanna see bill with the streams shooting

After reading that, I don't blame Bill for not wanting any part of this. :down

I can definitely see why Bill would be against this. They show up in the begining let the new guys take over & then maybe just randomly show up near the end ? The originals should be along for the ride not just disappear

Exactly.

No matter who they get for the new guys I'm not too excited for this now.

I had already known from what people were saying in the past that there would be a younger group of ghostbusters but I don't want the original team to get put in the backseat.

well who knows how the old busters and the new busters would be played out through the film. I am sure they both would have equal amount of time.

Heck it would be one thing to say the Devil or some big powerful Ghost traps the original Ghostbusters in hell or something & the new guys go save them & we see the originals in hell trying to break free etc but to have the originals just disappear ? **** that

well it could be very much that, i doubt they would just have the old busters start, pick new guys and then have no part at all in the film to the end. It would be a better story for the big ghostie of the film to take them or even the young guys and either its the young guys saving the old guys, or the old guys saving the young guys.

If the original crew aren't going to be active 'Busters during the film, then screw this.

I would think if they went the route of having the old Busters from the start and then have the new guys, it would be a sequence where Ray, Peter, Egon and Winston are trapped in hell, as Dark Helmet suggests or some alternate vortex where it takes a new group to rescue them.

yea the whole idea of either the old busters after the new crew has had a few good busts and get the handle of the job, the old ones get taken and the young guys have to save them would be a good set up. Or if you want the older guys more like i said above maybe the young guys get over their heads and the main baddie gets them. Which means the old guys have to come back and save the day one more time could be jsut as good. But we dont have all the details in the script besides the basic premise of old guys start the biz up again and hire a new younger crew. We have no clue how the whole film will be or how much screen time the new guys vs the old guys would be. If the film is to be like 1hr45mins-2hrs in length i think a good spilting of time between both groups could work well. I am sure egon/ray of the old guys would likely be in their a bit more and likely if the old guys dont get taken story, to be around to help the young guys with ghost catching and the equipment stuff. Winston/venkman would probably have a smaller role my guess. And if bill is being a hard ball on things they could just limit his role give him a good few scenes of good importance to the film and go from there with him.

Everyone's reading WAY too much into one quote from the single most pessimistic actor in the entire cast.

Do you really think Aykroyd would be happy filming a few scenes and buzzing off? Or Ramis? This entire franchise was their brainchild - and besides, the studio and crew would know how much more comic firepower Aykroyd-Ramis-Murray could bring than whomever they recruited.

yea like i said in an earlier post we only have a basic idea of what is the plot of the film, we have no clue how much time is going to be invested between old crew now and new crew now either.

For the right amount on the paycheck.

We keep forgetting that they're sitting on plenty of money right now... Ramis has said countless times that he stopped making movies for money a long, long time ago. They're loaded.

Not everyone in Hollywood is an evil, money-grubbing jerk. That's only the new generation.

totally we know they very much love these characters and would want to do whats best for the characters and to the fans.

nothing really new here just dan at book signing for his dad saying film isnt official to they get production number. But hopefully we will get that soon.

I couldn't agree more. I understand eventually, if they did sequels past 3 the originals would fad eout, but this should not be the film to do it.

I dont think this will get greenlit to be honest. They did this same thing back in 99 with Dan's "Hellbent" script. Bill doesn't sound too enthused about the new script.

Yeah , I don't think any of these guys are in need of money. It seems more like the fans want Ghostbusters and that's why they want to bring it back.
