totally hopefully we will know soon enough other details like some descriptions of other next gen busters, and possible shooting date. I would hope for a mid summer/late fall start so then they could possibly have film for 2011(though its a crowded year as it is) but more likely will be 2012 release.

Also since we know oscar is indeed a character and that character wise he is roughly going to be 21-23 years old. What are some young actors you think would be good for adult oscar?

Well if he is supposed to be early twenties I do see Michael Cera getting the role. I'm not saying that is my pick but it does make sense.

oh totally i hope the make these next gen busters and interesting as the originals. Plus please no making them be identical in traits to the originals. That would be stupid. I could see oscar going either he is smart and fun guy, or he is a daredevil out for fun/excitement type of character.

It should be revealed that he's Venkman's biological son aswell. I always felt that breaking up Venkman and Dana and her having a kid with somebody else was one of Ghostbusters 2's biggest cock-ups.

They could correct it pretty easy, though. Just have her explain that that she didn't think he was ready to be a father back then or something like that...

that could work, or they could easily just have dana and venkman got together finally some point after second movie/game(if game is going to be in cannon to next movie) and venkman will be oscar's step father, but oscar considers him to be his real father. Since his real dad is never around.

We dont know how long a time, it never says. they could easily have broken up a few weeks after Oscars conception or something... that's over a year.

possible but i just dont see it going like that. As for next gen busters how do u think they will have them be. Will they all be 20somethings or do you think it will just be 1-2 in 20s(one being oscar we now know) and 3 others in early 30s?

well rick we are doubtful they will get him to come in for more then a minor cameo, as for dana she probably wants no part in ghost stuff these days, and she probably disaproves oscar being one. Plus she will probably have what maybe 2-3 small scenes at most i figure.

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing that Venkman has had a bad influence on him. Make him an intelligent smart ass.

yea i could easily see that happening to if they go the route of venkman and dana did get back together and venkmen married her and adopted oscared as his son. Or if he is just crazy "uncle" venkman who as u said made him a smart ass type lol.

well if Oscar is Venkman's kid along with Dana's the actor should be a tall dude. Just a peeve I have, but Weaver and Murray are both over six feet tall.
