Ghostbusters 3

I think they waited too long to release another installment. Maybe if GB3 would've came out ten years ago I'll be a little more excited. Due to the fact that actors do get OLDER like real people. I think Weaver and Hudson are in good shape, but everyone else in the main cast are much older now unfortunately.

not really with the right story the length of time between the last movie and now isnt that bad. What about other series that have had sequels after a long time they worked. Plus with the originals in bad shape/older is probably going to be a factor in the script.

They definitely need comedian actors cast in this.

That was what was so perfect about the Murray/Ackryod/Ramis combo.

A Boogeyman cameo will make it cheesy for me... maybe imo. Depends how they do it I guess. I dont know I would GB3 to be based on the game, but changed of course for the movie, like the new busters etc.

I heard a cute suggestion for the ghostbusters. Just use the entire main cast of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia :D

LMFAO!

that would be awesome

no joke

i doubt it will happen though

however, if i had to go for one of the guys it would either be Dennis or Charlie

yea they would probably be good never really watch that show myself, hear good things about it. But if what some of the guys have said sticks for the new busters they will probably want most to be less known and not to big. I would say if the new crew is 5 members like what dan mentioned months back i could see like 3 being lesser known actors then like 2 semi known/bigger names for the other roles of the next gen crew. Then of course the originals in what ever their roles are.

No, no it won't. I love what Cameron did for Avatar but I'm getting sick of everyone wanting everything to be in 3D. It's not going to be the guaranteed goldmine everyone thinks it will be.

Seriously, who really thinks movies like Ghostbusters and Robocop need to be in 3D?

It's going through a second coming as a fad... and naturally studios are cashing in on it, because they know that a large portion of modern audiences aren't interested in good story telling, good acting or original plots: they like flashy explosions, computer created landscapes and basically anything else that can "dazzle" the eye. They want to keep their minds as far away as possible.

Sad, but true.

Yeah....I still have my doubts this film will ever get off the ground.

I do think it would be neat having ghosts and proton pack lasers coming out of the screen at you...

:oldrazz:

I never really cared for 3D until Avatar, but as Marx said I may just like the idea. Also Ghostbuster is a comedy yes, but I don't think the actors need to be well known comedians as far as next gen busters go. Unknowns can pull it off with the right script work, and if they have that flare for themselves. I wouldn't mind 1 or 2 ext gen buster who are played by some type of known actors. Whether they have been in big roles or small. Also I want to audition for a role too *cough*

well i do hope it will happen. i know alot dont think it will happen. But we are in a much better place then the past 90s attempts and all that.

The Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction sold an original 'Ecto-1' Ghostbusters' car for $80,000 tonight. Ernie Hudson was there to help action it off.

yeah but with Cameron's new facial motion capture technology it wouldn't be hard to deage them dramatically. and it wouldn't look like it did in the X-Men movies either.

and it would be the actual actors and actress's acting, right down to their little facial expressions and twinkles in their eyes and everything.

Assuming this ever happens (and I have my doubts that it will) here are my choices for new Ghostbusters...

Charlie Day:

He'd be Oscar, the main character. A perpetual slacker and loser, he is forced to join by his mother and Peter so he has a job.

Dule Hill:

and

Josh Radnor:

These two would be the serious Ghostbusters. They'd be actual doctors like Ray and Egon. Both are great straight men for Day to play off of, and Josh Randor is hillarious on How I Met Your Mother when he goes into pretentious, dorky, ass hole Ted persona.

Finally, in the role of the female Ghostbuster

Mila Kunis:

She is hot and is great in comedies so why not? :woot:

I think the one thing Reitman did right in Evolution was capture the comedic dry wit that GB was known for. Orlando Jones and Duchovny played off each other well, and when Stifler's goofy ass came on board, it actually worked.

And that's why Hill, Randor, and Kunis would work well as they would make a great contrast to the more over the top (without reaching the point of stupidity) Charlie Day.

I'd actually love to see them have a female Ghostbuster in the movie. And Mila Kunis would be a great choice. If not her, then get Emma Stone who (pretty much) is Kunis' identical twin. And, if not either of those girls, I'd say Anna Faris (considering how she co-starred with Bill Murray in 'Lost In Translation'). However, I'd like to see Faris be a little less goofy and a little more straight-laced if she was to be cast.
