My house is roughly 26 feet, all told. 24 is that big considering they start off the size of my finger.

Dude, jugdeing from that vid, it was tiny.

Now if they find one at least as big as the one in P.O.T.C
THEN call it a giant.

24 ft is actualy vary normal for a squid. There seen all the time.

Mine's not ugly.:csad:

It looks like a giant bronze oriental dragon.:o

Mind if I take it off and put in a specimen jar for further examination?

It's named a Giant Squid, but the article explains it's a female that's not fully grown. The adults probably know to stay away from anything close to the surface. Who knows how big this one would have gotten if we hadn't killed it? :cmad:

Almost all adult sperm whales have scares from the suckers.
The suction cups they have have tiny claws that dig into their skin.

That is a cool vid but sad.

It's amazing how we mistreat this planet.

The kraken is one thing, but the Leviathan is the one I am watching for ... :yay:

I know, I saw a really interesting special on it, the scars were pretty gnarly. But if I remember correctly, the whales go down to the squids, the squids don't come up to them.

They need to hook one of the 60-foot ones next time.

Which would spark a big screen adaptation of Peter Benchley's The Beast for sure.
