Girl always gets kidnapped?

They are shooting a fight scene in a construction site where a girl is being held captive by two villains who teams up. One grows huge and the other swipe at Spidey and jumps after him.

Good friend?? When Spidey rejected her romantic advances,she played up to Flash Thompson,who had become a good friend to Peter.She planned to use Flash and get him to fall in love with her, and then break his heart,because she felt that's what Spider-Man did to her.

As for helping Spidey when he needs it.She's more of a hindrance than a help.She nearly always ends up in trouble,and he has to save her.Best example of that was in the Doc Ock gang war.Loved that arc.She got owned big time,and it showed just how useless she is as a partner to Spider-Man.

She's a ridiculous Catwoman rip off.

When Spiderman 2 came out, I wasn't so much annoyed by the fact that another MJ kidnapping took place, but more so that in almost every single scene with Doc Ock some chick was running up to the camera screaming her head off. It was like scream overkill.

In Spiderman 1, Mary Jane was kid napped by the green goblin.

In Spiderman 2, Mary Jane was kid napped by Doc Oct.

In Spiderman 3, Gwen Stacey is kid napped by Venom and Sandman.

I know this is common in both comics and movies, but seriously, is anyone sick of it?

It happens all the time in comics and comic films, and hell, adventure films. It doesn't get old, IMO. It's just the way it is handled, and how it fits the story.

there's something about a guy getting kidnapped that doesn't really appeal. I mean, remember that Supergirl movie? The guy got kidnapped in that right (if my memory serves me correctly)? And the whole movie sucked because of it.....oh wait, that movie already sucked.

Don't put down Supergirl!!! The movie sucked because that wrong people made it and the main villains were witches....If done right that movie could kick ass.
