I've seen this ride. You're riding in a vehicle so it's not like your legs hang out anywhere. How on earth did a cable severe her legs?

Who knows, she might have done something stupid like stick her feet out.

Anyone have a clip of the right?

Officials said both the teen's feet were detached above the ankles

How the hell did she get her feet cut off I've been on rides like them but what did she do then??

When a wired cable snaps, having tension on it's surface it will do just as any stretched out piece of "twine" will do and 'whip' out violently. The cable more than likely snapped, and in doing so, lashed out and struck the girl across the legs, severing them in the process.

But this cable would have to be within the cab then and from I know of the superman ride it runs purely on magnets to propel it so where does the cable come from???

You are thinking a different ride. The Superman ride you're thinking of is propelled along the ground and then up a tower and they freefall backwards. This ride is similar to Dr. Doom's Fear Drop or whatever at Universal Studios Islands of adventure. It just raises you up and drops you. Simple as that.

Ok I see. Man I feel so sorry for this 13 year old girl.

No it wouldn't The cable could have been a few feet, or depending on it's length, few yards away. It could still have lashed out and struck her. And the article itself stated that the ride originally had no cables so it's under investigation as to where it came from.

lol, I don't like those drop rides so I would be watching lol but rollercoasters I love!

I like my feet so I wouldn't be her lol.
