Sequels Give me song strong stories and motivations for future movie villians.

This is not a knock or put down on anybody but I see alot of people cramming various villians into their sequel plots with seemingly not much of a reason other than seeing a bunch of villians. What are some reasons and motivations for Spider-Man to come in contact with these characters?

examples for future movies for me...

Big game hunter-Kraven comes to New York for the thrill of the hunt and battles both the Lizard and Spider-Man,who not only wants to help his friend and mentor Dr.Connors but also needs his help in finding a cure for his sick Aunt May.

Spider-Man has to save both himself as well as J Jonah Jameson from the Scorpion who while being drunk with power, seeks to murder the man who financed the expiriment turned him into a freak-Jameson. Alister or Spencer Smyth or Farley Stillwell(?) would be who Jameson hired to perform the expirement. At one point, the Scorpion makes Jameson choose the life of either his wife or his son.

Eddie Brock comes in contact with the symbiote again and Venom returns to kill Spider-Man on his wedding day. On top of that,somebody has discovered Norman Osborn's goblin equipment and begins a crime spree as the Hobgoblin. Rodrick Kingsley,Lance Bannon, Jason Macendale and even left Donnovan each would be introduced in this movie.

In an attempt to prove that he is not inferior to his half brother Kraven, the Chameleon comes to New York to discredit Spider-Man by impersonating him. After finding out Spider-Man's secret identity in the process,the Chameleon himself becomes a target from other villians who want that information to destroy Spiderman's life themselves. Possible villians, Electro, Shocker, Hobgoblin, Rhino, Black Cat and the Vulture who each have been defeated by Spider-Man in the past.

For 4 my idea is the same most of the other people Kraven comes to newyork to hunt lizard spidey tries to protect lizard however at the end lizard and kraven fight lizard kills kraven spidey cures lizard.

I'm afraid that other than the Kraven/Lizard thing, somebody's gonna write something like..."My plot would have Carnage,Morbius, Black Cat,Doppleganger,Stegron and Demogoblin team up to fite Spidey in number 9 and then Spidey teams up with SHIELD and the X-Men in to fite teh the Punisher,Mindworm,Big Wheel and Dr.Doom in number 15."

Seriously, especially as long as Sam Raimi is involved in these films, most villians that take center stage will more than likely have actual emotions and motivations for whatever brings them in to contact with Spider-Man.

Like I mentioned before, I'm not trying to put anybody down. I just want to see why people chose the villians they chose and what they can offer to the film other than just saying "Oh, so and so was in a Spider-Man movie".

On a side not, I'd love to see characters that aren't likely able to carry and movie such as the Shocker and Rhino in a James Bond-like opening sequence that's been mentioned from time to time.

Hey I agree with you 100%! Everyone knows it's the stories that drive these great movies, but then they tend to forget putting that in consideration when considering sequels. I don't know if you've checked out my ideas for SM:4 and SM:5, (haven't finished my last one, SM:6). I first thought about what story I wanted Peter Parker to go through and then added the villains and such afterwards. I have also added a few cameos and nods to us fans but they are minor, and appropriate to the story. Give it a look if you're interested.

SM:4 deals with the illness of Peter and his main villain.

I read the first one and while I'm not a fan of the Man-Spider concept, I absolutely love the idea of Adrian Toomes as a man bitter at the world due to not only his cancer but what caused it and how it ties into being the Vulture.Brilliant. I understand the parrallel of both the Vulture and Spider-Man's illness but personally, I'd rather Peter maybe being poisoned by an enemy (Kraven?) instead. Still good stuff! BTW, Rhino's a great choice for an early action sequence!

Just read the next one. Again,great idea in using the father figure theme. Various villians and each of them complimented each other in your script.Keep up the good work!

I understand what you mean, I'm also nervous about seeing Man-Spider on screen. The issue that goes along with Spider-Man being ill due to the bite that initially gave him his powers, I love. I don't, on the other hand, want Spider-Man to actually turn into a spider. It would cause a disconnect between him and the viewers.

I try to solve this by never actually having him transform. I do have his skin deformed (though you wouldn't see it) and he does grow an extra arm (wouldn't show too much of it on actual film) but I hinted in that he wouldn't even survive the transformation. So no real worries there.

In either case, I would suggest a Man-Spider story but if they chose another bite-related illness with the similar story I would love it.

Oh and I got an idea for 5. i think we should have Beck like in spiderman2 game. have him challenge spiderman and lose and now that the press is laughing at him he wants revenge so he becomes Mysterio. Spidey beats mysterio but the city is a reck. JJJ feed up with spiderman creates the scorpion. scorpion beats spidey In one of the bigggest fight seens. but when the suit is stuck on gargan he tries to kill JJJ and the sciencetist. but spidey saves them and beats the scorpion. After words we see Max Dillion fixing a powerline then we see him get zapped docters think he is dead but all of a sudden he opens his eyes and then we go to credits.

My idea for six is we start off with sirens and we see eletricty going everywhere. It is electro. Spidey comes in and we have a good 5 or 10 minute fight. Electro escapes with all the money.Meanwhile peter and MJ are going to get married. They finally pick a church and every thing and decide to get married in 2 weeks. But back at electro's lair he hears someone it is docock. he asks electro to join him and he accepts. later that night electro stars to destroy the city as a distraction for docock. spidey fights electro again and he escapes again. Back at the prison dockock frees mysterio and the scorpionand shocker (even tho we never see him before). He also tries to free Eddy[Depending on three] when eddy refuces ock gets violent until he starts to transform tho trying to fight it caused the darkside of the sybiote to spilt off and sneak on to eddys cell mate castey ock gives up and leaves brock but all of a sudden they hear insane laughing ot is carnage and he joins there team forming the sinester six. They start causing trouble in times sqaure spidey with no allies yet must fight them all by himself. In a 6min fight spidey is baddly beaten ock warns him to hang up the costume or both him and MJ suffer. The next night spidey has more trouble when a cat burglar robs a jewlery store thoe ingered spidey keeps up with her in a 2 min chase scene which turns into a fight spidey wins and the blackcat tells him everything she even dicsides to help spidey fight the sinester six however spiderman knows he needs more help. the next day spiderman makes his hardest dission yet. He connvinces docter conners to let him help him fix the serum so corrnors has control. It is a sucess. thoe three is still not enough lucky do S.H.E.I.L.D heared about carnage and hired silver sable to capture him. spiderman finds here and convinces her to join. later eddy loses control in prison and escapes as venom but for a good reason. he finds spiderman an agrees to help. Even though spidey's group only has five he thinks they are ready to fight the sinester six. Venom tricks carnage to following him to the top of the empire state building where they fight. Lizard fighs scorpion in the sewers. black cat fights shocker at the statue of liberty. Sable takes on Mysterio and his robots at the sports arena and spidey takes on ock and electro at the daliy bugle. In a split 38min fight Blackcat amnges to trick shocker into blowig the arm off the statue and crushing him. Lizard tears the scorpion's suit to pieces leaveing mac to rout in the sewers. Sable destroys all mysterios robots and has him beging for mercy venom and carnage tackle each other off the empire state building. And spidey gets electro to fry doc ock an spidey then beats electro. police find every body and takes them to jail. but venoms missing. Any way spider and cat fight crime together connors is living happily sable went back to sheild. llast Pete and MJ got married.

I never really thought about Scorpion but you're right he could prolly carry a movie since his character and situation is unique with never being able to take off his suit. And I like the cliffhanger at the end with Electro.

Do our movies have to have more than 1 villain? I've been thinking of a Vulture movie, but I havent really fleshed it out. It focuses on Peter being angry and bitter after Spider-Man 3, due to the death of Harry and the creation of Venom. He feels that the world is cold and unappreciative and he really doesnt feel like helping people anymore. This feeling is helped along by Peter being accused of excessive force after stopping a run of the mill purse snatching. (He didnt use excessive force but the crook sues him anyway.)

As Peter is filling with resentment, the Vulture also wants to settle some old scores. He lost his company to Gregory Bestman (a man he considered his friend) in a hostile takeover and vows revenge. He begins to steal technology from rival companies to build a machine that will shut down NY's power grid and all electrical machines, leaving his enemies (and their high tech defenses) powerless when he comes for them. This takes place during a blizzard (or maybe a heat wave, if people freezing seems too Batman and Robin), leaving average citizens vulnerable to freezing.

Vulture becomes a warning for Peter: forgive and let go of your anger or it will consume you.

Pretty cool concept Jack! I like it! The main potential problem is that fan boys will argue that the Vulture couldn't carry the lead villian spot in a Spider-Man movie. If you added someone or something else big to the plot, without taking too much from the Vulture and more importantly Spider-Man, then I'm sure that movie could be made.
