My hope is that Marvel and Sony work out a deal to continue keeping Spider-Man in the MCU and still work to keep Peter Parker appearing in the spin-offs.
We know that Scorpion is going to be the villain in the second Spider-Man film and he's going to be played by Michael Mando. We also know that Carnage is going to be the villain in the Venom film. We also know that Silver and Black, Mysterio and Kraven have been greenlit.
With that in mind, here's where I hope happens. We know what's happening in 2018 with Infinity War, Venom and Ultimate Spider-Man.
We also know that the leaked Silver and Black plot is almost certainly fake. Scorpion is in prison and is confirmed as the villain in the second Spider-Man solo film while Kraven is getting his own film. It looked bogus just by having far too many characters for the first film in a franchise and now it appears like it is.
2018
Venom - Want to see Spider-Man appear as the initial antagonist until Carnage shows up. Make it a hard-R to really let Carnage let loose. I want this to be a film that leaves children traumatized and parents upset.
Ultimate Spider-Man - Too early for Miles in live-action. Keep him in his own animated universe for the time being and a decade from now, introduce Miles in the MCU after Peter graduates college.
2019
Silver and Black - Adapt the Assassin Nation Plot with Felecia taking Peter Parker's role in the plot.
Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 - We know that we're getting Scorpion as the big bad. That means we need the Daily Bugle editorial board must appear. JJ Jameson, Joe Robertson, Phil Urich and Glory Grant should appear as should Joe's son Randy. Have Randy land Peter and Ned an internship at the Daily Bugle. Hopefully we're getting an adaptation of Amazing Spider-Man Annual 18 which is my favorite Scorpion story. And we also need Beetle and Joystick as minor one-scene villains while Marvel are still under contract to collaborate with Sony so that Thunderbolts may one day happen. Film it in New York City so Charlie Cox can cameo as Daredevil.
Future films
Mysterio - Make it a heist film where Mysterio is working for Man Moutain Marko and has to steal from Silvermane. Best way to handle it.
Kraven - Adapt Kraven's Last Hunt. Swap out Vermin for Lizard. Don't have Kraven kill himself at the end and instead hand himself over to the authorities. Spider-Man appears in the first ten minutes of the film and again in the third act.
Venom 2 - Life Foundation Symbiotes for the villains. Adapt Lethal Protector.
Spider-Man: Ends of the Earth - Doc Ock as the villain with Spencer Smythe as his henchman. Spencer Smythe dies in an explosion. Otto will hopefully be played by Bryan Cranston. Peter breaks up with MJ and graduates high school. Flash Thompson enlists in the military.
Spider-Island - Something where the Sinister Six assemble to take down Spider-Man. Shocker, Vulture, Mysterio, Scorpion, Kraven and Venom team up and find that the Spider-Queen has just transformed Spider-Man into a Man-Spider and has given everyone in New York spider-powers. Assisted by the Black Cat and Silver Sable, the Sinister Six must return Spider-Man to normal and defeat the Spider-Queen once and for all. Big team-up story.
Spider-Man: Invasion of the Spider-Slayers - Alistair Smythe attempts to avenge his father, gets paralyzed early-on and eventually gets powered armor. Peter is attending Empire State University and rooming with Randy Robertson where he meets up with Liz Allan who he tries to begin a relationship with but who winds up dating the rich business Harry Osborn. Peter begins dating Gwen Stacy instead. Ned lands a full-time job at the Daily Bugle right out of high school.
Spider-Man: In The Grip Of The Goblin - By this point, the MCU will be in the latter part of Phase 5 and hopefully the big bad of Phase 5 will be Norman Osborn. Peter gets engaged to Gwen and prepares to graduates ESU. Norman seduces Gwen and gets her to reveal who Spider-Man is, then kills her in front of Spider-Man. This sets up Avengers: Seige incredibly well where Peter has some very personal reasons for wanting to take down Norman Osborn. Flash Thompson returns from the military without a leg. I also really want Stephen Dillane to be Norman.
Avengers: Seige - Norman Osborn in Phase 5 will also track down a fugitive Tony Stark and mastermind Michael Achebe's coup in Wakanda. Now he plots to take over Asgard.
Spider-Man: Shadow of Evil's Past - The Hobgoblin manages to learn Norman Osborn's secrets, frames a kidnapped man named Lefty Donovan who he blows up remotely, then frames and kills Ned Leeds. Peter either starts dating Michelle J again or meets the real Mary-Jane Watson for the first time. Peter has now landed a job at the high school he once attended. Miles Morales gets spider powers and becomes Peter's protege/student in his chemistry class before getting his own spin-off.
Spider-Man: The Wedding - Peter and MJ (Michelle or Mary-Jane, not sure what'll happen by this point) tie the knot since Miles fills the void of a young Spider-Man which allows Peter Parker to become a family man since we'll still have a young Spider-Man running around. Mister Negative is the villain since he's really the last big enemy for Spider-Man to fight.
Not sure where to go after that. Hobgoblin is the biggest threat for Spider-Man and once he's defeated, I don't know where else to go since pretty much every major villain will have been featured by this point. Maybe Sin-Eater but he's just a guy with a gun. Tombstone, Rose and Silvermane are ordinary crime bosses. Chameleon has the ability to disguise himself but that's easily countered with Spider-Sense. Venom, Carnage, Mysterio and Kraven are getting featured in spin-offs so that takes them off the table. Lizard is more of a tragic monster than a real villain. Electro has always been a greater threat to Daredevil and never been that big of a threat to Spider-Man. Hydro-Man is in the same place as Electro except he's more of a threat to Black Panther and has never been very difficult for Spider-Man to defeat. The Spot is not very threatening to the general audience. Rhino, Override, Speed Demon and Hammerhead are jobbers who can't sustain an entire film's conflict on their own. Overdrive is way too expensive to do on film. Big Wheel will never happen for any number of reasons. I feel like Swarm is second best choice but Swarm is really obscure. It kind of has to be Sandman but I'm not all that familiar with a really good Sandman story.
And Sony need to try to work out a deal with Marvel where Marvel can keep producing the Spider-Man solo films so long as they get the right to use Electro and Rose in a future season of Daredevil, Hydro-Man in a future Black Panther film and use Joystick and Beetle in a Thunderbolts project on film or TV.
