I'm a little surprised that Sue is so against this new football coach that she would team up with Will. Sue's always been pro-physical fitness/anti-arts. My only guess would be that she's peeved that there's another woman in a position of power.

Imagine if it comes to blows.... I dont think Sue would stand a chance. I mean, pushing the scared little students around? Sure. But going up against the beast? Sue would get her ass handed to her.

this beiste lady is supposed to be an all-star coach. they replace ken tanaka with her so they can actually win more than one game.

They got rid of the old football coach? All, I felt bad for him and liked him in a sad way. Too bad they wrote him off the show.

Given that Will and Sue are supposedly on the same page on this one (at least according to the promo), I would guess that the coach wants a lot more money for football. Glee is cash-strapped already, and Sue, well, Sue guards her portion of the pie pretty zealously, as we've already seen.

also, will's problem with the new coach has to do with them competing for sam (chord overstreet). they both want him for their respective program.

I'll never understand how Corey got the "male lead heartthrob" role. He can't sing, can't dance (or move at all, for that matter) and isn't even attractive. He's so pudgy.

I'm not saying you need to be gorgeous to be on the show, but if you have a character that everyone looks at and thinks "OMG he's SO hot and SO talented!" Well, why not cast someone hot and talented? To think that Aaron Tveit auditioned for that role and didn't get it...

he was a little pudgy towards the end of the first 13 eps, but looks more fit now. like his singing, his looks grew on me as well (like a fungus ).

In the season 2 promo he looks pudgier. Maybe it's the new haircut.

He's improved markedly as a singer over the course of the show - compare the two versions of DSB.

As for why he was cast, he's one of the best actors on the show, though he started out as a weak performer, so I'm guessing that had something to do with it.

He can sing very well in my opinion, his voice is an acquired taste like Bob Dylan. I really like I'll Stand By You and Jessie's Girl, his best vocals yet.
