I saw the stories about Godzilla being to fat for certain Japanese fans, and I couldn't decide which is weirder. One of the best films in the entire series. Also might be the only time where I actually prefer the American dub to the original.

It's hard to reduce 2ch's cinema board to a single opinion. Some of the posters think he looks like a linebacker, and don't get why Americans are into "huge bastards." Others like him a lot; there's fan art of "GarethGoji" eating at a restaurant with the Millennium Godzilla using "EmeGoji" as a table. A few even liked Godzilla '98- and yes, I did a double take, too. Put it this way...is it easy to reduce every opinion in this thread to a single thought? No, and it'd be even harder if said opinion didn't represent even the majority of people here. The explosion of articles on this are click-bait, and I'm surprised it's popped up on so many otherwise legit news sources.

And not for nothing, but have you seen their Godzilla's thunder thighs? Pot, meet kettle.
