Compared to Monarch, and Minus One, this looks like hot garbage.

Agreed, I promised myself not to comment on this stuff anymore, but I honestly wish they would stop calling that APE… Kong. He is nothing like King Kong! They got it right with Kong skull island and then .. well. Its not worth rehashing. You’re right though! Minus one and Monarch did monsters right. Let’s just focus on the good.

Whether you like it or not, it's King Kong.

I think its funny how they went from a Heisei era feel (KotM) to Showa (GvK, GxK) in such a short time lol

That's a very poorly cut trailer. Looks fun enough though.

I didnt QUITE get that “F*** YEAH!” feeling with this trailer i got when that first GvK trailer dropped two years ago but this looks like a ton of damn fun nonetheless. I’m definitely in.

It’s not, but rather than give a long drawn out explanation you can read about it here King Kong's Complicated Rights Issues Explained

Last time we saw King Kong was Peter Jackson in 05 and the next time we see King Kong again will be when Disney releases whatever show/movie that they will release in the future you can read that here: Exactly Who Owns The King Kong Rights? How’s Disney Making A TV Show?

So no, Kong is not King Kong, but rather some pet Ape. Hope that helps

That's a lot of words to say that it's King Kong.

With the movie coming out in April, I wonder if WB will spring for a Super Bowl Ad

Looks like a lot of dumb fun. I didn’t like GvK all that much but I liked what I saw in the trailer. Godzilla slumbering frozen in ice looks cool as **** but him running like that in the end looked awkward :funny:. Also seems like there are indigenous people in the hollow earth and that Skar King is ruling over more apes. Or maybe it’s a flashback and he’s about to annihilate them?

Either way I like what they’ve shown and am curious about what they’ve kept hidden. Haven’t spoiled myself with anything yet. Will try to keep it that way as much as I can.

I get why people are comparing it to Millenium Godzilla, Just with how the spikes light up, I just see Ultima.

*Watched the trailer* Okay, so... I get that Kong and Godzilla are teaming up, but who are they fighting? Who is the villain?

The orange guy, Skar King, a new creation.
Yeah, I felt that was obvious to see even if someone hadn't known anything about the movie beforehand. Plus there's that shot where he's literally roaring at people on the Rio de Janeiro's beach.

glad were getting more Kong adventures the new kaiju looks great
