It's not living in sin after six months, as long as there was not an introductory mortgage rate that expired before said six months. Living in sin continues with an adjustable rate mortgage until the end of the first year. For a fixed rate thirty year you are not living in sin. Being madly in love also allows you to qualify for a special earned income tax credit.
