Guardians of the Galaxy GOTG: Spoiler Talk

It's OK Teekay because you loved Amazing Spider-Man 2.

What does that have to do with anything? I'm no Howard the Duck fan and don't even know who he is, I just felt dissapointed by the stinger that is all. Don't see what my opinion on TASM2 has anything to do with it but ok.

It means that it doesn't matter that you don't like it! We will all love it.

You should be so lucky to get such a fantastic scene.

It goes into detail about the nature of the Infinity Gems. That's about it.

That really bums me out, I kind of figured it would be stand alone with possible future additions being more McU included.

I remember hearing about a Nova corps guy possibly being in shield contact which would be cool, or even something like Thor popping up to be warned of Thanos.

Though i assume both of those or similar scenarios could happeb in the sequel before Avengers 3 and tie thw franchises together, even if they never appear on screen together.

As for the end/mid credits scenes I don't much care for them anyways, so if they did two cutesy fun ones for this im not upset. I never stay to watch them anyways, they ultimatrly dont really matter outside a few. Which can always be watched online.

Eh, it's cute, but I don't exactly love it either. *shrugs*

That's cool. I was just expressing my opinion on the matter just like everybody else. I just didn't find it fascinating nor great either because I have no idea who the character is or his significance to the Marvel universe as a whole.

lol, remember you said this if you ever complain about something done in a cbm that changes from the comics. (Not that you personally ever have, I of course don't know that, but it works both ways. People unfamiliar with a character might think its dumb but thw hardcores love it and vice versa.)

So, what is up with the "rocket" like thing Star-lord is firing in the trailers. What is it exactly?

That 'mid credits' scene happened aa soon as the screen blacked out at my screening. I didn't even classify it as one since it was shown before the actual credits. But then again, the same thing happened when they showed the DOFP post credits scene immediately as soon the film ended when I saw a press screening of it back in May. I'm defo dissapointed in the Howard the duck stinger.

I'm with ya.

Do the Nova Corps fly in this movie?

Probably not

I don't think the after-credits are going to me more than gags from here on out for the most part. Out of the last five films only CA:WS was the only one not to have at least one gag after credits.

BTW, the film was amazing. I liked the after credits. It fit the tone of the film.

What are you talking about?

If you play Marvel: Avengers Alliance, the baby Groot has already been spoiled.

Drax is going to be from another race? So he isn't human so connection with Heather Douglas (Moondragon)? I always thought that Thanos had tricked Drax (everyone) to thinking that Ronan killed his parents not him. Are we going to get the reveal that Thanos killed his parents?

Why is the Collector all bandaged up in the credit scene? I thought he was an Elder of the Universe.

I don't even think his daughter is called Heather in this. Like you said, I think the whole Earth origin and connection isn't present in the film.

...or maybe you could let him express his opinion without meeting it in a wave of condescension.

Yea, great emotional scene at the end there.

Ok, so the Orb is on Xandar. The Tesseract is on Asgard. The Aether is still presumably with The Collector...

Is Thanos going to get his own film where he goes around acquiring these Gems? The big guy must be getting more focus in the future.

I'd love to see a film where he does that, just like in the prequel to the Infinity Gauntlet. One of my favourite Marvel stories.

Thanos Quest? Yea. I actually like it more than Infinity Gauntlet itself.

I can't believe the amount of hate the Howard the Duck scene is getting, purely because it doesn't appear to progress or link to the MCU, being a Marvel comic book fan all my life, I can't believe the movies I am watching these days, we are truly being treated to not only something amazing, but something that has never been done before, and the fact I got to see Howard the Duck and know he exists out there in the MCU was a delight for me. It appears you really can get to much of a good thing, Marvel fans have been spoiled as of late, and they 'expect' a certain type of after/mid credits scene like its their right. I see it as Marvels right to do what they see fit with their movies and keep surprising us like they are, like who seriously expected to see Howard the Duck in the MCU? People need to start enjoying the bonus scenes for what they are, a bonus, seeing a modern day live action Howard the Duck is a bonus for me.
