I've always wanted to be the one who figures something out...but this board is pretty quick on doing that first

I was first to post about the email from wearetheanswer.org but noone saw it till it wwas posted in another thread :csad:

I'm not sure, but the only one that comes up as "under construction" seems to be www.gothamcityhall.com , and last night I trolled around and found www.arkhamasylum.com , but it doesn't seem to be part of the viral thing (even though it's odd that someone has the rights to that site and has it "currently unopened" or something).

That hardly seems like a real error message at gothamcityhall.com.

I followed the directions, but there isn't a program on my compuer called inetmgr.

Anyone know anything about computers? If we could hack into Gotham City Hall, we'd be in for a treat, I think.

so whats been uncovered? I'm a few hours behing. I see we have a few new web sites and a few new numbers to leave messages and a message from some guy with the cab company. but have we had any leads?

Does anyone else think that you would have to be an idiot to buy a security system from ACME.... Um i saw Looney Tunes and Willie Coyote, and i am quite aware of what you consider quality control ACME!!! Ill take my business elsewhere thank you very much.

DAMMIT! I got through to gotham cabs from ireland on my mobile, but cycled three times it wouldn't let me hear the message.... when i get told to enter the pin now do I hit hash then the PIN (oafter it beeps) or pin then hash? or is it star?

I'm pretty sure there's something essential for us behind this fake error message...

so does any one have an idea as to what the next job will be. maybe guards at a funeral. any ideas

haha, I just tried gothamwater.com

definitely not part of the marketing campaign. Never thought that I would visit a website that sold both water softeners and spiral sliced ham...

I thought gothamcityhall.com was made in 2003 according to its info?

And I found gothamgoliaths.com and it is owned by godaddy.com

Here we go...first post. Throwing myself to the wolves, no doubt, but I can't lurk any longer!

I got nothing, really. but all this PIN talk had me perusing the gotham national bank site, especially with Karl starting a taxi biz. The front page mentions that the bank is the #1 small business lender, so I wouldn't doubt that Karl banks there. Also, under "Fraud Prevention", it lists "Keep your ATM password secure. Do not use obvious or easily obtainable information (such as your
birth date) for your password."

Any clues as to when Karl was born? I'm about to go hunting, but does it say anywhere how OLD he was when he was married in '85? further down the rabbit hole...

The message does look very fake.

Has anyone else tried what the directions say to do? I mean, with the start menu in Windows? It was a dead end for me.

I think we need to Enable Dynamic Content, pretend to be the Web site administrator.

But before we go cracking this site, we should probably check where the domain is registered, just to be sure it's actually part of the game.

The directions in the error message is not for the users it is for the admin of the site to fix the problem.

If we had the ATM password of McRee or Breitup, what would we do with them?

If Breitup was dumb enough to use his badge number as a voicemail pin, McRee might have used his badge number as a pin.

gothamcityhall was last modified Feb 21st 2003, guys. It isn't part of the viral marketing.

How do you find out who registered something on godaddy.com? I found gothamgoliaths.com and it goes to godaddy.
