Gotham Gotham Season 4 Episode 16- A Dark Knight: “One Of My Three Soups"

So Barbara is the Demon's Head right now?

Talia's gonna be pissed...

Guess craziness runs in the Valeska family.

"Anyone else want a shot at the title?"

and they all put up weapons

I'm guessing Crane drew the short stick as far as mayhem this week or maybe we just see what he's up to next time.

Bruce saving Jerome!!! You're going to regret that!

Jerome's looking for someone. [BLACKOUT]Still wonder what he really wants with his cousin.[/BLACKOUT]

Iceman, shoo! You're spoiling yourself, mate!

Christ does she look like Pfeiffer now.

woof! Sisters of the league

That's it? That's how he saved them?

So, killing all the male members of the League, leaving only the female ones plus Barbara, which is...less than 10?

Okay, so I guess that's a thing. I don't get it, but okay. But if only the women are around, then Talia has to show up at some point.

Yeah, it'd be off for them not to have Talia show up at some point in the future.

Think the killing off the male Leaguers was hamfisted "girl power", though. Eh.

I'm guessing Crane drew the short stick as far as mayhem this week or maybe we just see what he's up to next time.

Yeah, was hoping he'd get a moment or two to shine. Maybe he'll get some moments in 417 or 418.

Jerome, you freaking mastermind you.

Also, allow me to fanboy at the next week's promo.

Ahem.

[BLACKOUT]JOKER JOKER JOKER JOKER JOKER JOKER JOKER JOKER JOKER JOKER[/BLACKOUT]

So Crane did indeed only pop in just for the ending.

But yeah, best episode of the season thus far and from that preview, looks like it's only getting better. And unlike last time, the Bruce and Selina stuff actually felt integral to the main storyline. And it's interesting that a lot of the drama felt propelled by the situation itself, instead of just having the villains be on screen the whole time, not that there's anything wrong with that.

And while it wasn't by any means bad, I think the Barbara/League stuff might have been the weakest link. Not bad, but the Bruce/Selina going after Jerome and Jim/Harvey trying to stop Tetch was just so much stronger. That and I just don't get the logic in killing off a good number of the League members.

Yeah, this is one of my favorite episodes the show has done thus far.

Ben McKenzie delivered with it and I can't wait for the next episode he directs (if the show doesn't get cancelled).

It was definitely a step up from the last episode he directed, if just because this episode had a lot going on. But unlike something Gotham does a lot, it remained focused. While I didn't think much of Barbara's subplot, we were either there, with Bruce and Selina, or Jim and Harvey going after Tetch. That was it.

We never cut to see what Ivy was up to, didn't check on Penguin, Nygma, and Leslie. Even if it was inconsequential, Gotham has a habit at times of giving us glimpses into what the other characters are doing, even when it's not relevant or needed for the episode, which is why I wasn't a big fan of the Bruce/Selina stuff last time in an episode that didn't even feature Ivy.

But here, it was focused and never strayed from the three storylines. To me, that's how it should be.

Just saw next week's promo and Holy ****!

Seeing the villains team up, and that tease of "Who is the Joker?" :hmr::mrk:

I’m a few episodes behind on this and I probably would have missed out on this one if a friend hadn’t hyped up something at the end of the episode.

Holy ****.
That was a fantastic episode.

I’m back on the Gotham train :D
