Did David Goyer confirm Wally to be the Flash in the film? Or someone else? :yay: :ninja:

Yeah. Goyer confirmed both Wally and Barry to be in the film.
"Fans know there's been more than one Flash over the years," Goyer adds. "There's been a lot of speculation and rumor, but both Barry Allen and Wally West will be in this movie."

what is going on with The Flash? Is it going ahead, im confused

i dont know he made that statment like months to a year ago i think

Thankyou very much, Batman. Has there been any news? I want this film now! :cmad: Anything at all?

*prays*

soon isn't soon enough

my guess is, either Barry will be the Flash and Wally will be there to set him up for later films, or Barry and Wally will be involved in the same lightning strike accident and become Flash and Kid Flash :o

Yeah. The Barry as Flash angle, with Wally later taking up the mantle seems likely. Atleast for the first film. We may get a good look at Barry's becoming of The Flash, as well as some of his adventures. Then later Wally coming in, and establishing himself as the new one. With Barry also being a sort of guide to Wally, and Wally carrying on the legacy.

Or, there could be a chance Wally is set up as the main character. And there are a few flashback sequences of Barry's days. Possibly even Wally as Kid Flash.

Yays, my thread is still going! :D

Agreed.

I believe Wally is supposed to be the main character, that's why Goyer wants Ryan Reynolds to star in this movie.

A question though is how would you want the costume to be done? Like the Spider-Man / Superman style or John Wesly Shipp's costume from the Flash Tv series?

I don't think it should be form-fiting spandex, but a nice sculpted bodysuit (like "Batman Begins") would be cool, if done properly. And, the color would have to be a strikingly-bright red; no colors so deep they ruin the classic image. As for the lightning pattern, I'd definitely use John Wesley Shipp's outfit as a huge inspiration, but make the character more lean and less bulky. He's suposed to be streamlined so he can get maximum speed with less resistance...like a sleek race-car...

Would a sculpted bodysuit really be neccessary for him though? The spandex seems to be the more logical choice.

Sculpted body suits, in general don't move, that would be a VERY bad idea for the Flash... special fabric, ala Spider-Man or Superman Returns would be best...

Furthermore, I would count on Wally being the main character and Barry being in multiple flashbacks before I'd think they were going to try and cram 60 years of comics history into a trilogy, or give Barry and Wally each their own trilogy. Wally's the main character... Barry for flashbacks...

Quick Q I forgot to ask...did goyer even give a hint about villains?

Well doesn't that just suck! :cmad::(

what about, Jay Garrick???

Nothing on Jay either. Before though, it was reported that he would be The Flash the film would focus on. Up until the Barry and Wally confirmation by Goyer himself, that rumor, or pure speculation, hasn't risen since.

I'd like to see Reverse Flash as the villain myself...or Trickster :o

I read on a few sites that it was Jason Garrick.

 ... !?!? Well I think it would be good to clarify it for sure.

^^It's not Jay, Goyer confrimed himself that both Barry and Wally will be in this movie

My question is why they would let Goyer write a sh---y Flash movie instead of letting Johns write an AMAZING flash movie.

^^my thoughts exactly. It is exactly what I think.

Greenlantern248 : Okay. but IMO, I think some sites should do their homework instead of writing bull****.
