Goyer/Nolan team-Architects of DC filmverse??

goyer's quality is too shoddy to entrust him with too much control. he does decent enough when surrounded by quality creators who can keep him in check. but if you give him too much space he's crap. nolan has a lot of good qualities, but theres also lots of other things about his approach i dont like to see in these films.

nolan and goyer have their place in this kingdom. but, there are a lot of great film makers that are worthwhile. i'd like to see what they have to offer.

Goyer is good as an idea-man, but not as a dialogue writer or film architect. He works best when he is paired with another writer(s) such as the Nolan Brothers. While it is difficult to determine how much he is invested with the secularization of the comics, the DC film universe needs someone who loves them and can sell them to the GA, without depowering them, so to speak.

Goyer as the base ideas man and Zack Snyder as the Joss Whedon flagship director. But they need a creative producer, maybe someone like Guillermo Del Toro.

THE posts of the thread. Exactly right. Nolans a genius but its like Hollywood and WB in particular in this instance is afraid to take chances on fresh minds, talents, and ideas.

I don't mind one person overseeing everything but lets bring in some other people for these films too. Maybe give another talented creator a shot. Like you said theres a lot of talent out there if WB would just give them a chance and set trends instead of following them. Its paid off for DC movies in the past. I'd rather see some other writers and directors given shots on some projects too. If Brad Bird wants a job on a DC movie? Try him out!

Timm, Burnett, Dini, and co have already done in animation for years what WB basically wants: building a popular quality shared universe in another medium. If any of those guys want the job it couldn't hurt for WB to at least sit down and listen to their pitch.

I like Goyer's structure of the stories but keep him away from one-liners or dialogues.

Syncopy is his company and being the defacto house for DC films is a hell of a lot of money that can keep all his talented friends employed for a very very long time. Nolan may not be directly involved in every single aspect (directing, script) of each DC film as hell move into his own personal projects but hell have a high position and run things through Syncopy. If MOS is a hit, and it will very likely will be, then this will be the case imo
