the_ultimate_evil, Keith Giffen doesn't know how to write the Masters of the Universe mythos or characters.

I mean, I wanted someone to slap Teela for what she said about Mekaneck. Her father really should've slapped her. She's become a brat.

Mekaneck may not have an impressive power, but for a comrade to say that about a guy who was wounded in action and is fighting on your side, that's pretty despicable.

I've been thinking about casting for the proposed movie, and I think I've found the perfect Stratos . . . Gerard Butler. Now, I know a lot of people on this site don't like him, at least as a leading man, however as Stratos is a relatively minor character, I don't see anything wrong with him playing a supporting role. Also, as I believe was mentioned on this thread before, the voice actor for the 2002 reboot seemed to be doing a Sean Connery impression while playing Stratos. And likewise, Gerard Butler seemed to be doing the exact same thing as King Leonidas in Frank Miller's 300. So just get Gerard Butler to play King Leonidas with wings, and you've got yourself the perfect live action Stratos!

Im a big fan of Lord and Miller so I would be interested in their take. They have an insane talent for taking properties that seem to have zero potential and then making them great.

Agreed 120% that whole exchange was cringe worthy then to throw in a stupid piece of dialogue where it reveals mekaneck is in love with her

I agree with Orko being played by Verne Troyer. First, who says the character has to be CGI? Practical effects look better, and will likely make for a better movie. And second, even if they do make Orko a CG character, Verne's voice is perfect for the role. Take a moment to watch him in interviews, or in any of the speaking roles he's done. He already sounds almost exactly like Orko! Why cast an actor who has to try and alter their voice to sound like the character, when you can just use an actor who already does sound like the character?
