I'd like to see the Green Lantern franchise rebooted thusly:
-Rename the series "Green Lantern Corps"
-Green Lantern (2011) provides a basic framework of events that happened
-Green Lantern Corps is a requel series
-Kronalax's attack was covered up by ARGUS as a terrorist attack in Coast City, hence the smoke
-New tone, aesthetic, mainly sticking to practical effects, and cast keep Sinestro though
Green Lantern Corps: Rebirth
-Film begins with Hal Jordan already serving as GL of Sector 2814
-Hal is often paired with Sinestro to work together on missions
-Hal becomes increasingly weary of Sinestro's brutal methods (capturing Atrocitus)
-Sinestro takes Hal to his "ordered" homeworld
-Hal reports him in to the Guardians, Sinestro is expelled from the Corps to Qward
-Guardians double the size of patrol in sectors to check the other GL, John is recruited
-Sinestro discovers that Krona was not Parallax, just infected by the yellow light
-Sinestro recovers his yellow ring and battles Hal and John on Oa
-Sinestro infects Hal with the true Parallax, and Hal goes berserk until he is focused by John and Parallax is imprisoned in the CPB
-Sinestro is defeated
Green Lantern Corps: Recharge
-More Earth based than predecessor, but with an interstellar conspiracy surrounding it.
-Time spent on Earth would focus on Hal and Carol, and the friendship between John and Guy
-Perhaps take down Black Hand?
-One red and blue cyborg that absorbs GL energy attacks Hal and John.
-Bulk of the film is Hal and John uncovering a conspiracy buried by Abin Sur and track down Atrocitus, imprisoned in the first film.
-Together they uncover the massacre of Sector 666
-The Manhunters are reactivated (hinted to be Sinestro) and attack the location of the Lantern of Sector 2814
-Unable to fight them alone, Hal and John's rings initiate the deputising protocol, John deputises Guy Gardener and Hal, Kyle Rayner (working at Ferris Air designing planes?)
-Still unable to successfully repel all Manhunters, the Guardians unleash Ion, intended for Hal, but instead takes Kyle, who destroys all the Manhunters.
Green Lantern Corps: Sinestro Corps War
-Exactly what it says on the tin, pretty much.
I really like this idea.
