Green Lantern Rebirth

Yeah, I got eaten alive my first few weeks.

And to some people's dismay....that Spectre series doesn't make sense to me. IF Hal was really possessed/influenced by the spirit of Parallax(whatever) then he shouldn't have been the Spectre in the first place....because he was possessed by the parallax bug.
It's the other way around boyo, GL: Rebirth doesn't make sense. The Spectre series predated Rebirth by quite a few years. And yes, for anyone wondering:
Spectre Hal Jordan>Anything else but Hal Jordan written by Waid or Cooke.

i thought rebirth was pretty good except for that bit where hal hit batman. I know it was a throwback to the old justice league thing (even though thats when he hit guy) but when hal was trying to prove he is back and is a good guy again, punching people out isnt the best way to go.

Maybe it is to some....with the people online...who can tell nowadays??? I know it isn't for me or for Jay Garrick and Superman.....
Maybe Hal still is POSSESED by Parallax whose trying to hide in plain sight and trying to be heroic.

If Hal were still evil, I wouldn't have a problem with him being resurrected.

You know there wouldn't even be a Hal Jordan Green Lantern without Alan Scott first...so for those who don't care about A. Scott as GL, well sorry but he was the first human to create the GL identiy so show some respect. And although I admire fan's loyalty to their heroes and idols, I pity those who can't see past them. If you focus everything on just one character, you can only grow so much....but if you expose yourselves to multiple characters, learn from them, grow with them...then you become a better person...and when their time in the sun dwindles, and it's time to pass to torch....UNDERSTAND it is a natural process that affects all things.
Its easy to be overly passionate on the boards, but we must take into consideration that not everyone will see eye to eye.....and for some, well they just NATURALLY leave a bad impression on us.
There's nothing wrong with hal going from main character to supporting character....he is another source of experience the new GL can learn from .... much like a teacher to a student.
a father to a son....
Although I think that Jordan's run as GL (again) is both exciting and fulfilling; I do not understand why they can't let him WORK for his ring again as suggested by kiuju. And to some people's dismay....that Spectre series doesn't make sense to me. IF Hal was really possessed/influenced by the spirit of Parallax(whatever) then he shouldn't have been the Spectre in the first place....because he was possessed by the parallax bug.
Or maybe have Hal become the very first Terran guardian on the GL council... where he can be held accountable for the sectors protection as special liasion to sector 2814.
DC did a complete 180 when they introduced that idiotic parallax entity.

Heroes who fall from grace and return as heroes, are even MORE heroic then the ones who never fall--because they learned from their mistakes.

Agreed.

I don't see how they can just put him in the driver seat out of nowhere after all these years. There should be some kind of catch to his return. All i've seen so far is just a bunch of rookie GL's don't like him. OH and the ones he fought when he went rouge fought him for a second. Ridiculous. I can't see any real GL fan approving of this. Totally the wrong way to bring him back. I think Alan is no different than Hal i think him being the head of checkmate is long overdue I think all of older jsa members were at one point misused. I mean all that experience just to be doing the same things they've been doing for decades. I'm glad Alan is at a position of power/influence. I wish all the jsa were. Its like a promotion of sorts every older hero should go through. Hal had that. He was parallax, then the spectre, and now back to a lantern. I would've had him go all the way back to being a pilot and just be a guy younger GL's can go to. Or like stealthprime suggeted a direct liason to the guardians. I mean he still needs to actually pay for his crime as a mortal. I don't know there are so many other ways they could have went about it. But, they chose the stupidest because a few babies whined about a hal return. I hope they don't give kyle the same treatment. I already have my issues with ION.

Stealth's lack of taste is what's wrong.

Id say so, but im willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Consideration for others' feelings violates the holiest of ASSHAT tenets.

Yes, I know, but I want to hear his reason before I can adeqautely commence pwnage.

All right, holding off for the potential addition of more pwnage ammo is permissable. But barely. I'll be keeping my eye on you.

Did you read Rebirth? It was pointed out specifically by the Spectre that a big reason he bonded to Hal in the first place was to try to burn out the Parallax infection.

That in itself is pretty stupid.

Or...is it?
