Green Lantern's Movie Costume

That is the stuff of nightmares. Leather in superhero costumes on the screen never looks good.

Except for Daredevil. That movie adaption suit is probably the nicest one I've seen aside from the Spider-Man suit (which wasn't leather but it's the nicest suit I think translated from the comics), and the Daredevil suit was leather looking.

Green Lantern's costume should be exactly how it is in the comics now, made from the Spider-Man material. It doesn't need any tweaks or revisions.

I agree... except maybe small tweaks on the underwear part.
Maybe make them shorts or make them how he was redesigned for Rebirth. (Spider-Manesque.)

But I agree, costume is fine just make it in the style of Spider-Man.

I like the costume but the guy behind the mask he s too slim who is he?

It's Nathon Fillion on Chris Evans body. Fillion is actually buffer.

Green Lantern in his civilian clothing.

I mean, you wouldn't expect them to change it, but I wouldn't want to see Hal in some sort of updated and more fashionable leather jacket.
Plus the ring on his hand would be cool.

His Jacket is supposed to be old fashioned it belonged to his father.

I'd go with the Ultimate Green Lantern costume. Everything white needs to go. Green and black only.

The suit needs to look completely alien, not some earthly type of material we would recognize. It's made by the ring, it should look like liquid glass, or onyx, emerald etc.

Hate to say it but to acheive a completely unearthly look the suit has got to be finished in CGI. Make a costume for the actor to wear but then it it should be filtered, enhanced, whatever to give it a cosmic feel.

I agree, but then I also disagree... I think costumers can get creative and get something a bit more liquidy if they like. I think a lot of the glowing floating energy stuff needs to be CGI, of course, but the core suit itself? I think that can be alien all on its own.

Another cool thing is that while the black parts should be liquidy, the green parts can be rigid and ruffled and textured, almost like its coming alive with energy. That dichotomy is cool, especially if they alude to the fact that one part is hot and one part is cold.

The Ring is of Alien origin, but does that mean that the suit necessarily has to look very Alien? Doesn't the Ring orientate around the wearers subconscious? Crafting a suit, or better said Uniform, to his taste?

yeah thats how I meant, like it is in rebirth without the green crouch design.

Remember the last time someone tried to pull off a completely unearthly look? We ended up with the Singerman Returns Costume. If that's the result I think its okay to be "Made on Earth" or Taiwan for that matter.

Good Lord! What the hecks wrong the the Returns suit? I get the feeling people only hate it because they hate Singer.

You need to host the image. You can't just post a file from your harddrive.

... You can't directly post pics from your comp.

Host them on imageshack.us first.

You can use that excuse if you like, but nothing says that the suit material meets the wearer's subconcious. It'd be cooler if the alien stuff looked alien.

Well they all wear different costumes anyway so I'd think that each character's costume would be made from the materials of their home planet.

so maybe hal's could look like a fighter pilot suit kinda?

Bargh? The costume would be made from the rings energy.

As to what it looks like, it makes sense either way, I think the alien material angle is leaps and bounds cooler, though. So much cooler, I'm in awe of why anyone would want it to be Earth material.
