Nick Fury just borrowed it from Cable's collection of motorcycle sized guns.

Bwahaha, it's even funnier because it touches on what a s*** father and husband Cyclops has always been. :hehe:

Yeah, I make sprite comics for my Examiner comic news articles so I dusted this one off since it was appropriate. :)

I don't know if this has already been talked about, but do we know what's going on with the series post-Thanos Imperative by any chance? I notice it wasn't solicited for two month of when that event start, so are we looking at a cancellation or relaunch or just a skipped month?

Skipped month. I believe DnA or an editor mentioned in an interview that GotG and possibly also Nova are just skipping a month when The Thanos Imperative starts for some reason or other.

There's only so much DnA to go around.

... That sounded kinda wrong somehow.

I just ask since I think it's skipped the last two months of solicitations. I'd hate for the series to be canceled, though a relaunch wouldn't be bad, I guess

He’s back…Thanos! How did he return? Why is he back? And what does the appearance of the galaxy’s #1 threat mean for our rag-tag band of universal protectors? Find out in the next issue of the comic that CosmicBookNews.com calls “Awesome. Amazingly, jaw-droppingly awesome.” Rated T …$2.99

Oh, cool, we actually learn what becomes of those debrief logs that DnA have been using for narration and insights into the Guardians--they apparently make it to the future and become part of the history of the original Guardians. I love time travel trippiness. :D

I love how something we all assumed was a clever aside like the debrief logs turned out to be historical records for the future Guardians. :funny:

Everything's being connected and coming together?!

I don't like this...

I get uneasy when dots start getting connected...

Why? I'm sure DnA have other plans that'll keep the book moving forward even after they wrap up this temporal/alternate timeline funkiness arc.

I'm always going to be so after all the ******** back stories Ghost Rider went through the last 20 years.

Still wary of what the future may hold, but the last issue has gotten me even more interested in the Thanos Imperative.

Thanos-Hulk was hilarious. "Dude, is that Thanos?" "RRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGH!!!"

This book and Nova better come back after Thanos Imperative, because they are easily two of Marvel's best ongoings on the market right now.

Yeah, I'll be hugely disappointed if the cosmic line goes away. It's been consistently fantastic outside of some parts of Annihilation: Conquest.

And even those few stories weren't all that bad, just not on the same level as was established in Annihilation and Nova's first 3 issues. Still, in the end, they made good reading.

But yeah, this and Nova either need to continue or at least get a relaunch. Marvel's Cosmic side has been too good to let end know. Especially with Nova getting a spot in an Avengers book. Maybe we'll get lucky and get a renewed Quasar book. Or a Silver Surfer title of some sort.

Well, I wouldn't be too worried about Nova being on SA since someone pointed out an interview that Brubaker did saying that he sort of wouldn't be there full time, as with his powers, he might be too much of a deus ex machina for solving the problems they would come across. So if that's the case, it's likely being done so that his ongoing can continue and he can have separate adventures in that with holes left in SA for him to be able to do both and be somewhat easily explained.

I don't think it precludes his solo series coming back, but it does make me wonder a bit whether the editors will look at the fact that Nova's in two series, one of which (Secret Avengers) is absolutely guaranteed to sell better than the other (Nova), and wonder why the latter really needs to be around at all. :csad:

But that's all doomsaying for now. I'm ready to just enjoy The Thanos Imperative for the moment.
