Infinity War Guess the Title Of Avengers 4

I wonder if it'll be something like Avengers: Doom, and Doctor Doom shows up and takes the gauntlet. A very, very, very unlikely pipe dream, but I can hope.

At least somewhat more likely, I wonder if Loki takes the gauntlet and betrays Thanos in A4? Or maybe Nebula gets it, like in the comics?

Fox are developing a Doctor Doom movie, so Marvel definitely haven't negotiated the rights back.

I actually still believed until today that Infinity war was a two part, and avengers four was just infinity war two???
When did that change?
I'm going by old news man!!!

When they saw the box office for the last Divergent movie, presumably.

Things can still break down. I don't expect the Doom movie to move as fast as Sony and Venom with the casting.

Avengers 4 is filming as we speak. And this would be a main role for Doom, not a brief (but memorable) supporting role like Spider-Man in Civil War, which doesn't change the story at all if they don't appear. They aren't gonna go into production on a movie where they don't have the rights to use one of the main characters on the off chance they may get the rights to use said character later.

The thing with Doom is that Thanos has taken his place.

The GA and even more modern fans just don't care about him anymore. Thanos' increasing media presence and allearances in comics with mainstream characters have comfortably placed him atop the heirarchy of Marvel Villains, upsurping both Doom and Magneto.

People can argue against it, but the fact of the matter is this is 100% true. Doom isn't Doom anymore. He is sort of a has been.

Atleast till Thanos-hype dies down

Yeah, I don't think that's true at all. Right now, Thanos hasn't done anything to actually wow mainstream audiences. That'll likely change after the movie is actually released, but right now he's just "That guy who sits around in the floating chair." Comic fans are ****ing their pants and screaming "Holy crap! HOLY CRAP!!!" every time Thanos makes a brief cameo somewhere, but if you aren't a comic reader (or I guess one of the kids watching that Avengers cartoon), you're probably not gonna get what is so special about this guy.

As it stands right now, Loki still seems to easily be the MCU's most popular villain. I don't think that's even up for debate. Heck even if by some chance Thanos were the most popular villain, it wouldn't be "comfortably" since Loki would be right on his heels.

Avengers and Defenders, together at last!

Together again, just like in the comics! :awesome:

latest

Does anyone else have fond childhood memories of the Avengers/Defenders War?

Namor, the Silver Surfer, and Swordsman are absent, but the rest of both teams are going to be in IW. Hawkeye and the Hulk used to be Defenders, of course, and Mantis was an Avenger (sort of). I have faith that Kevin Feige, the uber fan, was well aware of the classic Defenders lineup when he made sure that the Hulk, Doctor Strange and Valkyrie were going to appear in Thor: Ragnarok. :cwink:

By the way, that Thor vs. Hulk battle was terrific but it ended in a stalemate. The two of them were in a clinch just like the cover scene for hours without either one being able to gain the upper hand. As I remember it, though, their blows against one another caused a near earthquake along the San Andreas Fault. It was literally earth-shattering.

Comics. Yes. Thanos is in more stories and has more stories active right now than any othet villain in Marvel comics. It's true.

On topic, it's gotta be Infinity Gauntlet.
