Infinity War The AVENGERS INFINITY WAR OFFICIAL SPOILER Thread

I must confess, I don't understand the disappointment and anger at all. It was known this isn't he last Avenger movie. And it would be shocking if snap didn't happen not that it did happen. So what did people who are disappointed expect? That the snap permanently kills most of the characters, including original Avengers? If so, what did people think is gonna happen in the next one? Hawkeye and Ant-Man chillin' and repopulating the Earth? :D

I'm actually more curious on what happened to Valkerie since I haven't seen any spoiler regarding her fate.

Also, where does this leave the future of Thor's franchise. If all of Asgard is truly gone, what will he be the ruler of?

This is reminds me of how I felt when I first heard about Xavier being the reason why most of the X-Men we're gone by the time the events of Logan started. It made the happy ending of DOFP feel worthless which is the same way that I feel about this film and Ragnarok.

It would have been better cor the Asgardians to stay on Asgard than be entirely slaughtered in space by Thanos.

I'm actually very curious on how Agents of SHIELD will be affected, assuming if they're renewed for another season and if they truly follow the events of the films.

Yeah, that one is rather... interesting. I think they might be in space one or two week to let the movie sink in, but after that...

I'm still trying to find out if Sam was one of the vanished. No one seems to be mentioning the poor guy.

I wouldn't have my hope up for another Agents of Shield season.

agreed- all this talk of 'well everyone who died from the snap will likely be back so what's the problem' ... well, where does that leave the people of Asgard? I mean, how incredibly dark is that? I might just end up considering Ragnarok to be the final film of this phase for me and mine and stop playing it as the credits start, because otherwise it's a ghost ship.

So clint isn't in the movie physically is he even mentioned by name do we have bearing on wtf is up with him. Cause we were promised answers

Honestly, I think they'll be back too  If they've got the gems, anything is possible.

We have to see them, I mean they are on the ship...

Not necessarily- steaming pile of rocks in the background could happen. I am sensing a real lack of respect for Asgardians in these spoilers, and no one has mentioned them at all.

Is it too late to talk them into making Ragnarok II instead?

So Thor is like Superman? The last of his kind?

So we don't see Korg and Miek for not even a split second?!

I'm still very confused about the Red Skull business lol.

Also kind of surprised that Strange would give up the Time Stone i exchange for Tony's life.

I haven't seen a single mention in any of the summaries- maybe once people in here see it, they might recognize their importance and include them if they are there? (yes, I am feeling crushing disappointment right now- I thought at least we'd get an epic fight between what's left of Asgard and the BO but no one has said it)

Thats the one that probably bugs me most
Sucks the asgardians didnt even get to earth before getting offed, Thor is literally the worst King ever
And all that growth in Ragnarok was for not, so Thor can spend this whole movie forging a weapon that fails to work

It's not fair. Do they hate Thor or something? Did someone's Grandma get struck by lightning?

Do they hate Thor or something? You obviously haven't been reading many of the reactions. Lots of praise for Thor in this film.

I'm sure there's plenty of moments of drama to act with, as the plot convolutes to destroy everyone and everything he ever cared about... doesn't change the fact that the writers have whumped on Thor IF the summaries are as accurate as it is being said.

I'm still confused as to how this whole Gamora-Soul Stone business fits into the GOTG movie. Gamora apparently knew Thanos' ultimate plan the whole time, knew he needed the Infinity Stones so she hid where one of them was. Then why did she seem as uninformed about Infinity Stones as the rest of the Guardians in the first movie? And why would she suggest giving the Power Stone to the Nova Corps, knowing that news about it's location would get around to Thanos and he would come for it. It's like she set Xandar up for mass destruction after spending a whole movie trying to save it. This makes no sense to me. Is this just major retconning done to fit the narrative for IW?

Is this going to turn into TLJ spoiler thread where a bunch of meltdowns start happening. The way spoilers read and watch can be completely different, imo. I'm still hyped.
