Yeah I think this will actually be a pretty good film. Just have a feeling. This trailer was way way way better than the last.

Yeah, this pretty much confirms Cruise is the reincarnation of her past love interest or something like that.
Unless he's special for some other reason and she's after him/wants to use him because of that....

I think they're playing coy about this plot point.

I bet they were trying to copy the SKull Island trailer (and I agree it was a bad choice.)

Well The Song Choices are not really good in the last days but except of that it was a damn cool Trailer lots of Tom Cruice Typical Action but i can't see yet how this Movie will Build the Classic Monster Cinematic Universe because it looks too Standalone!

I really could have done without another face in a sand cloud but other than that

I mean it is a cool visual, and if you're going to have an Egyptian princess as the villain, well I cannot really begrudge them that.

The moment I see the face in cloud. I remember Rothman legacy still lives

Pretty meh trailer IMO. It still looks like a Mission: Impossible movie with a Mummy in it, but I'm willing to give it a chance. I do appreciate that they atleast tried to add the horror elements this time around.

So what are the chances that we end up sympathizing with The Mummy here I wonder?

Anck su Namun should have been the Mummy that they could have centered things around

The new mummy actress is beautiful (without the monster makeup). What else has she been in?

Looks like she can do some of the same stuff as the previous Amhotep (or whatever his name was), in the first two Brendan Fraser films.
•sandstorms; controlling rats; controlling bugs; summoning birds

Interesting that Universal wants to make their monster properties into a shared universe now. I remember seeing Dracula Untold with Luke Evans a few years ago, it was pretty decent, though I don't think the American box office was as big as the international.

Supposedly that film was re-edited to be included in this latest go-round of remakes, but we'll see. I enjoyed the Benicio Del Toro Wolf Man remake, though presumably the producers will make the next one taking place in the modern day.

And of course, here's Russell Crowe sharing space as Dr. Henry Jekyll. So you know what's coming up eventually. I wonder who they're going to get to star in Frankenstein, Wolf Man, and Creature from the Black Lagoon. I presume that Phantom of the Opera will be in the mix as well.

Too bad this stuff won't be crossing over with Marvel, it could be great to see the hero vs. monster matchups.

I wonder, will the films have the conceit that the Frankenstein and Dracula novels were published but assumed to be fiction by the general public.

Kingsman: The Secret Service, Star Trek Beyond, that upcoming Atomic Blonde movie with Charlize Theron, etc.

Nope.

She is the villain. Tom Cruise will be revealed to be a "good" Mummy though. Bet on it.

Also I am shocked so many dislike the song. Every trailer gets better when you add the Rolling Stones to it.

The song didn't bother me. I've heard FAR worse songs placed in trailers.

Ever since Tom Cruise popped out of that body bag, I've been like, "Tom Cruise is the Mummy!"

Tom Cruise is a mummy. It would explain so much.
